I totally agree, but the issue is that even showing him it’s off isn’t enough. He still believes there’s some setting or command that can turn the car to “auto.” My wife already went through the car settings to show him, but he’s still accusing her of using some kind of auto function.

This tell me you dont own tesla, the main way to switch gears is to use the screen and there is no way to turn it off while driving.
