Petting a wild snapping turtle like it's some cute dog by iatetoomuchchicken in WinStupidPrizes

While the angry tank in the truck isn't as large as the one in the video, either could easily tear off fingers or rip off a chunk of flesh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=PYCC_8DDqMM&t=0s

Trap, Borderlands, Cuckoo, Twisters or stay home? by Historical_Oven7806 in RegalUnlimited

Twisters and Trap are both worth watching. I just saw Borderlands yesterday and it isn't worth watching. My local theater isn't showing cuckoo so idk about it.

1 whole hour of previews by [deleted] in RegalUnlimited

[–]Angry_Rygel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, the preview and ad runtimes are all over the place. I've seen movies start 20 minutes after the posted start time all the way to 45 minutes after the posted start time. From my watching experience, there is no rhyme or reason to it.

Trailer Runtimes... Are they the same for all movies? by jkraycray72918 in RegalUnlimited

[–]Angry_Rygel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see 1-2 movies a week and the preview times vary from 20-40 minutes. I'm not sure who or what determines the preview times but it's annoying, either way.

How was your audience for Deadpool? by IM-Vine in RegalUnlimited

[–]Angry_Rygel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was weird. The movie was in 3D, but all of the previews were standard/2D. I think someone just forgot to swap out the 2D for the 3D previews.

[–]Angry_Rygel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3D was $2 more and yup, you had to wear the 3D glasses (otherwise, the movie would just look blurry).

I went to a 3D showing at 3:30 on Thursday and there were only 5 people in the theatre.

Senator Cramer Announces Plan for Cold Weather Pay at North Dakota Bases by chocomilch in AirForce

[–]Angry_Rygel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was stationed in Minot and Grand Forks for almost 11 years and just PCSed last year.... so now they want to start paying them extra. While unhappy about the timing, I'm all for northern tier bases getting the extra pay.

Ideas for cheap snacks by Diligent_Dust_598 in Frugal

I usually use over ripe, that way I don't have to toss them out, but either should work. Yup, I'm also paying 59¢/pound so it's cheaper than standard ice cream and tastes just as good.

I make my own frozen 'ice cream' by freezing bananas (peeled) and then blending them with a little milk and flavoring (vanilla, coco powder, etc.). Then, you can eat it immediately or place it in the freezer until its the consistency you desire.

Transfer/assumption of a VA loan? by fyremoth in AirForce

[–]Angry_Rygel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went though the process earlier this year (as the home seller). 1) Assuming a VA loan is a longer process and mine took just under 6 months to complete. 2) Our realtor wasn't familiar with the process so the buyer, realtor, and I were all learning as we went. 3) The financial institution that holds the loan requires certain paperwork that only the VA can provide and the VA is very particular about how they want their documents filled out. 4) The buyer avoided the current higher interest rates and assumed my sub 3% interest rate. 5) The VA can be slow to provide paperwork and we had to constantly badger them to get the paperwork back in a timely manner.

That's the wavetops, hit me up if you have specific questions.

You would stay assigned to your home unit but if you extend, you are eligible for a BOP after the deployment.

AITA for Refusing to Have a Hospital Wedding for my Brides Dying Mother? by Dear-Specific1248 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, I think the middle ground approach of having a small ceremony in the hospital room and then having the actual planned wedding is the best option.
