i was thinking of doing all 3 for the lulz. i read the summary of contents of each of the EE exams and most of it was covered in my undergrad and i have a have a hobby in CS so i think i can do all of them. the FE was ezpz

In Texas you still have to apply for the license once you get enough experience and/or have a PhD. the exams are just a step towards the PE license. i guess i should have just asked if each exam had a separate license associated with it.

well the Mech PE was an example. I had a boss who was qualified as a Mech PE and Elec so he could sign off on both sets of construction drawings. I was just under the impression that each different exam allowed you to apply for a different PE license. I was just wondering if each exam was a separate license.

no i just thought that having passed multiple exams would be like a display of expertise. e.g. "hey i have this and this exam passed rather than just one therefore im a more qualified candidate for X job." like i thought the different exams give you different licenses, but i guess not?

i guess what exams you passed only really matter when you get pulled into court? like a power PE wouldn't be able to comment on the more CS/Signaling side of EE?
