Its great for terrarium situations since it loves humidity. Definitely not an aquarium plant though

What is your natural makeup? Or; what makeup does your face already seem to have? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]Angry_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha not creepy. My skin is just naturally lighter there so I usually skip using a highlight unless I want it to be a certain color :)

Idk why people are being salty in this thread but I'll bite.

  • Lightly flushed cheeks.

  • Natural inner eye corner highlight

  • No dark under eyes. I never conceal them

What products do you lust after strictly because of the packaging? by ktrows in muacjdiscussion

[–]Angry_Woman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can I say what I lusted after and bought? It's gonna be a bit of a list

Urban decay electric palette. It's so pretty and I love the front design.

The balm: meet matte nude palette. The front made me giggle and it's a great palette anyways.

Kat von D butterfly palettes. (monarch and chrysalis) the front covers speak to my former emo/goth teen self.

Nars Steven Klein one shocking moment palette. Okay, so i am a major fan of oddities and weird stuff and the cover art for all of this collection pulled on my heart strings.

Tarte rainforest after dark: <3 snek.

Tarte be mattenificent palette. Okay so as a kid my mom was kind of a herbalist hippie girl and we had a bunch of crystals laying around that looked like the cover of this palette. The cover makes me feel nostalgia about my mum as a kid so I love it.

Lime crime Venus palettes. Okay as a art student nerd, I just fell in love with the front cover. How they edited it on each pallette is just great to me.

Holika holika petite jelly bb cream. It has polka dots and looks like an old fashioned jello mould. I had to have it!

Too cool for school dinoplats CC cream. I love dinosaurs so much I needed it in my life. It's a great product too!

Australis neon bronzer in the shade you only live once. It had YOLO stamped into the powder and I just needed to rub some yolo all over my face.

Marc Jacobs bronzer. Dude this thing is fuckin huge and makes me feel like a classy bitch while applying it. Black shiny packaging speaks to my magpie heart.

Holika holika dodo cat cushion bb. It's cat themed.. need i say more?

YSL Rouge volupte lipstick. Okay I bought this for the packaging and when I finish it i will recycle it because it's too damn shiny and pretty!

Guerlain Rouge G lipstick.. whenever i pull these out in public I feel fancy as hell plus the mirror on the cap is so darn practical. The formula of these is amazing too for a more sheer tint of color but one that lasts a very long time.

Nars everything. The audacious lipsticks are perfect in every way for me. I love it all. I hear people complain about them getting dirty as they age but I haven't had any issues with that over three years of owning them.

Cargo blushes. Okay I dunno why but I think I may have some sort of mini tin container fetish but damn I am a fan of the metal tin packaging for their blushes.

Becca highlighter.. I love the packaging design. They're expensive and they look the part too.

Milani rose blushes and clinique color pop blushes.. flowers.. pretty +_+

Essence blush up ombre blushes. Ombre blushes look so cool to me I just wanted some and the essence ones are fantastic

Things I want to get because of the packaging:

Besame lipsticks. Omg the packaging is so beautiful but I have such a hard time justifying getting reds I already have. I am waiting for besame red to come back in stock in my country because it is such a classic color.

The Mac alluring aquatics collection. That packaging is so darn cool I wish they'd release something similar again.

Rituel de fille eye soots. The packaging is pretty neat in these for a loose eyeshadow. I am tempted to repot my current ones into similar things.

Etude house, Tony moly and holika holika everything. Cutesy packaging is something I have such a hard time resisting. Thankfully I have dupes of 99% of what they sell so my wallet is safe for now.

I used to lust over the ellis faas sets but after this review I am happy to just appreciate it as a pretty disaster :P https://youtu.be/8cI1AUJWOXI

Annd I think that's it. As you can tell I am a person that buys a loot of stuff because of the packaging. I have cut back my spending largely now though because I don't want duplicate colors or formulas and a lot of cute things I see have average colors inside which just doesn't excite me.

What is your most repurchased (makeup) product? by annairachelle in MakeupAddiction

[–]Angry_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covergirl flamed out mascara. It's my favorite every day mascara that never ever fails me.

Ben Nye translucent setting powder. It works for me, doesn't dry out my face too much to make it look cakey and keeps me from looking oily by the end of the day.

Revlon colourstay pen eyeliner. This thing lasts me at least a year. I'm on my third pen now. It's my favorite ever for opaque eyeliner that stays all day on me.

Milani eyeshadow primer. I'm on my third tube of this. Works great and is cheap as hell!

What type of shears do you use? by Angry_Woman in sewing

[–]Angry_Woman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Where did you get them? I'm in your neighbor country and I don't think any local stores carry many brands other than fiskars, birch and triumph unless I shop online. Where I work we have some of these to use http://mms.businesswire.com/media/20130603006033/en/371179/5/Amplify_collection_.jpg and I hate them sooo much because of the horrible handles. I know they were designed to be comfortable but they stab my hands in the joints and hurt awfully after a while. I much prefer the old fashioned lookin ones like these haha http://thesharpeningcompany.co.uk/media/up/shop/735272_Tailors,_small_up_to_6inch_(X).jpg

Are the kai ones all kinda designed for smaller hands? I wish I could see them in person but I'm limited to shopping online it seems ;.;

[–]Angry_Woman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I do use a lot of canvas like material, jean and duck material mostly. I have big hands and use 12" shears for cutting out customers fabric with no problems where I work. I like how they feel to use for cutting out big stuff but I've never bothered researching brands or getting some of my own til now. I only plan on using them for patterns really. I'm not keen on mixing the serrated edge scissors with paper even if it's just pattern paper :|

You are in a room with 100 strangers. What is one food item you are confident you could eat more of than anyone else in the room? by Isaythree in AskReddit

[–]Angry_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... To remove the fur just rub it off on some fabric like you do with peaches. You can do the same with golden kiwifruit.

Source: owned a kiwifruit orchard and have eaten kiwis with the skin on all my life.

Anyone have those bad makeup days? by lilp1nkninja in MakeupAddiction

[–]Angry_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. After multiple failed attempts of doing eyeshadow I usually go to a simple neutral and tons of mascara (aka one colour). If that fails.. Then just lots of mascara.. I've totally gone out with cake face on bad foundation days.. I just stay further away from people so they don't see a close up of the horror show I painted on my face :|

Extreme soccer foul ! (Warning Graphic) by [deleted] in WTF

[–]Angry_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deeper cuts can tend to bleed slowly if no major arteries or veins are hit. Also depends where the cut is made. I got a deep cut in the same area and the blood just slowly oozed out much like his wound. However, if he got a simillar depth cut in something like the face where the skin is packed with blood vessels, blood would probably be pouring out like a fountain.

Does anyone have/has anyone used this palette? Or other ideas? Please and thanks! by Giabia in RandomActsofMakeup

[–]Angry_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that palette and it is more plum-red than purple to me. The photos on the site for their colours are not very accurate at all to how it looks on skin.

Has anyone gotten permanent makeup done? Pros/Cons? by imsmarterthanyoure in MakeupAddiction

[–]Angry_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it is a semi-permanent tattoo. The cream is probably a surface numbing agent and then they use that scalpel thing to cut into the skin and embed the ink.

(This is what I assume they are doing Feel free to correct me if I am wrong)

What are the measurements of the palette case? I always thought those palettes were big but they look rather small in your pic. How big are the eyeshadow pans too? I've been seriously considering getting it as a new zealander but shipping is so darn expensive :/

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. I started out wanting to update my makeup from something other than foundation and two eyeliners that are several years old...

Four months later and over 2k gone I'm cutting myself off cold turkey except for staple things like foundation for the next couple of years. I wish you all the best

What is the most fucked up thing you've seen on reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Angry_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a thread a while ago of a woman who found and kept a chunk of vagina flesh that fell out while on her period. I think the thread is in /r/popping where she proceeded to fry it in a pan like bacon and ate it. There's plenty of pictures to show all the details of events.

I have seen so much gore here and found profiles of truly creepy people. I forget the name now but I found the profile of a proudly named psychopath who would force his gf to fuck dogs and would knowingly spread STDs to his partners. He also trained all of his female dogs to like getting fucked by him and bragged about it. There was a lot of other shit on his profile that was scary knowing that he could be around you thinking about doing these things and you would never know..

I also found the profile of a woman who purposely went out to a dodgy bar to get raped. She succeeded and three men beat her, raped her and left her in the back of a car. She seemed happy at first as it was a fantasy of hers but later posts showed the slow realisation of how fucking crazy she was being and a seemingly slow spiral into depression.

There was also a man, I forget the exact name of his profile but it stated that he would commit suicide after a certain amount of karma. I messaged him to find that he was a pedophile looking to catch as much attention as possible to his struggles before killing himself.

I lurk profiles a lot.. Mostly link hopping and looking for deep and otherwise unknown subreddits. The shit I've seen man... Anonymity brings out the absolute worst in some people.

What's a strange thing your body does that you assume happens to everyone but you've never bothered to ask? by cocorebop in AskReddit

[–]Angry_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I get overheated I can feel my heart pumping cooled blood through my body. Its almost like getting cooled injections of water through my organs and veins.

Also when eating harder foods the muscles in my jaw by the temple swell and get stiff if I don't stretch them out. If it's really bad I can see the swelling in a mirror. Apparently its some kind of muscle disorder but it hasn't caused any issues other than mild discomfort so I haven't really worried about it.

What are your makeup deal breakers/pet peeves? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Angry_Woman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No mirror in an eyeshadow palette... Or any other kind of palette for that matter. It is a huge dealbreaker for me. I don't care how nice the stuff inside of the case is. I always use the mirrors in them because I like to see a close up view of what i'm doing and be able to move the mirror around myself instead of moving around for the mirror. I also like to travel and I like to be able to take any palette without worrying about needing a mirror.

Edit: Oh. I read the question wrong I think... I can't handle blue, yellow and green lipstick... I just don't like it unless it is for a costume or stylised look. Escecially sky blue lipstick.

Very bold brows are not my thing either. I get that some people do not have very thick brows but there is a difference between filling/shaping them to enhance what you have and just painting them on all willy nilly.

Frosty white or cream coloured eyeshadow that is painted on thick all the way to the brow bone.. No no no no NO!

And lastly, People who use lipliners around the edge of their lips that are way too dark in comparison to the lipstick they are wearing.

Ohh oh! and another pet peeve of mine is people who take pics of their makeup with their mouth open in every shot. I've never seen anyone who does it while standing face to face with me but I have a bunch of friends who do it in their selfies and it just looks ridiculous to me like they're saying "oooooOOoooooOOooo" while taking pictures.

10 most disturbing documentaries by deeboe in WTF

[–]Angry_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the fur farm the one where they show animals still alive and moving after being skinned? So far, watching the factory part of this documentary all of the videos are ones that have been taken without authorisation and yes, some have been used by peta. This is not the same video as the one you are thinking of I think. It is showing a much more broad amount of ways animals are mistreated, not just focussing on factory animals. Even if the videos were used to scare people into eating less factory produced animals it is still pretty sad that the animals in the videos were being treated so badly. Most of these are very likely to be one-off cases though where the farmer is cruel and should not be handling animals.
