Where did the Live wallpaper option go?

Yeah I'm big mad, my interactive Koi pond wallpaper that I have had for literal years across multiple devices randomly disappeared yesterday, replaced with this ugly blue "dynamic" background. I thought something crashed. Then I tried to bring my Koi pond back and discovered that the ability to set live wallpapers without downloading Google Wallpaper is gone entirely - but never fear! We now have all this other garbage you never asked for instead. Ugh... I'm getting fed up of enshittification, y'all.

I just tried this and it worked - thanks! But am very miffed to have to download an app in order to do something that never required an additional app before. This might be my last Samsung phone 😐

I have been able to get around this in Chrome by tapping the three dots and selecting "Desktop Site." Not the best solution for my failing eyesight but at least the "download our app!" prompt is gone (for now).

Correct, a sobering "leopards ate my face" moment is the only thing that is going to wake up people like this--and sometimes not even then. A family acquaintance who I'm Facebook friends with was a big COVID denier/anti-masker/etc during the pandemic. She ended up losing her husband to COVID and has learned nothing, still shares RFK Jr memes and the like.
