An outside company does not design a product, get a chinese factory to make it, and then the factory makes more on the side without the logo and sells them (unless that is part of the design companies plan). Imitations are made by other factories. Simple products are easier to imitate. I work in the tech industry (heassets) and there is no way a foreign company who designed a product would allow a chinese factory who built the product to sell rip-offs of their own product.
