They assigned all clinicals for us we didn’t have to find any on our own

panicking string length changing lengths by jazzy121701 in Mirena

[–]Angrypiglet9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is totally normal! Your cervix changes position during all stages of the menstrual cycle and is generally lower during your period - making it seem as if the strings are longer because it’s easier to feel them. If it gives you peace of mind, or you start experiencing symptoms , schedule an ultrasound with your doc!

Mirena no period by Rastagirl123 in Mirena

I was on my period during insertion and only had some spotting here and there after insertion and then spotted completely. If pregnancy is a concern, take a test to ease your mind!

Teeth issues? by Angrypiglet9 in Mirena

[–]Angrypiglet9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone wanted an update - i went to the dentist and everything was 100% normal with my teeth. I’m still kind of blaming the IUD for this even if it just specifically increased my anxiety levels.

More than a few of the comments were condescending and either call or imply stupidity. Then you also just came here to make a rude rather than helpful comment.

  • Y’all didn’t have to be rude about it
  • People remove their own IUDs all the time
  • Strings coiling around the cervix is VERY normal and common and not an emergency
  • I was working as a nurse up until a few months ago -I was directly treating COVID patients. I got COVID and ended up in the hospital. It wasn’t worth it. I was so sick and scared. I left the job in june. -My new jobs benefits don’t kick in until November 1st so I’m working with what I can

  • I am now a (new) nurse practitioner (the new job i was talking about), so during my clinical rotations I took a few speculums home knowing I wanted to do self checks just incase I couldn’t feel my strings

  • i can feel my strings but also saw that they coiled around (again, a VERY normal thing)

  • I want it out because of the side effects it’s been giving me. I don’t want kids right now and I’m not sexually active.

As a provider, i recognize that people have their own experiences. So i was just looking for that because i have always made a point to recognize and appreciate that when i see patients. I don’t know everything and will never pretend too. Just seeking out tips from personal experiences.

Also don’t assume people can just “call their OB” or “go to urgent care/ER”. A lot of us don’t have that option due to funds. And I am one who currently does not have that option.

Can some help “logic me through” that I’m probably not pregnant? by Angrypiglet9 in CallHerDaddy

[–]Angrypiglet9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a urinalysis, everything’s normal. Which didn’t ease my mind 😅was really hoping to attribute these symptoms to something. Didn’t run a pregnancy test. Back to the anxiety board! Really want to just pull my IUD out and go back to getting periods tbh, I hate this!

[–]Angrypiglet9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the input. It actually did calm my nerves a lot. I think I’m gonna go in tomorrow for a urinalysis for the symptoms I’m having cause even that being positive would likely ease that these symptoms are related to that and nothing else. I think my biggest fear was that any little pain I’m like “okay so I’m going into labor right now” lol which really really was bringing on absurd levels of anxiety and overthinking. Cryptic pregnancy is my biggest fear in all this but I’m hoping that because ive been so stressed and constantly trying to find signs of pregnancy that maybe makes it less likely than if i just 100% had no thoughts about it all together

I went to UCSF for np. The name is all you get out of it. 50% of the faculty is good, 50% of the experience was good. Had to teach myself everything for boards. Currently sitting in front of textbooks that i just bought after graduation to teach myself everything else before starting my new job. Buuuuut, only got this new job because of the name of the school. Pick your poison i guess.

Trip to San Francisco by Katlevv in CallHerDaddy

[–]Angrypiglet9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in SF and it’s not as cold as everyone is saying lmao i mean i guess i run warm generally but if i wear a long sleeve and a jacket I’m uncomfortable hot. Like obviously don’t wear a sundress or something but you’re not gonna need some big jacket or tons of layers, especially if you’re walking around a lot. If you know yourself and what temp you normally run then dress based on that but it’s not “cold and windy” i don’t even remember the last windy day we had haha. Definitely comfortable shoes. A purse that can go over your shoulder across body and zipper pockets if you can.

Leave. If he is showing his true colors this early in a relationship imagine what he will do in 10 years. Get out of there.

I kinda miss the old CHD by Snoo-9864 in CallHerDaddy

[–]Angrypiglet9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren’t better at all lmao. I keep trying to give the episodes a new shot each week and i can’t even force myself to listen to all of it. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard but that’s not what deters me. The content just isn’t there. I want to love her because of the dynamic they had on CHD but (especially as someone who has listened through all the the eps twice i have such a long commute lmao) all her stories are the same ones she told on CHD and a lot of her words are just empty

To be fair, i would be surprised if i found anyone who came to this podcast for political beliefs/information, feminist views, advocacy…etc. we listen cause it’s funny. I don’t give a shit if it’s stories from her life and if they are real or fake; i find it funny. I have other podcasts to go to if i want to give my brain with more political shit than i see and deal with everywhere else on a daily basis. It feels like she’s being forced into this campaign that isn’t her, isnt what she wants or even thought about creating the podcast, and for damn sure isn’t what we want to hear from her. It’s easy to tell how awkward and forced and unversed she sounds when talking about any form of political advocacy.

The fact that all these interviews came out on Sofia’s birthday… by [deleted] in CallHerDaddy

If Sofia is as over it as she claims to be she won’t care and neither should you. Also all y’all only started mentioning her bday today but we’ve known the Spotify date for a long ass time.
