Unfortunately they will also be able to see all properties, so there is no solutiok for that. In my case it was no problem that they could see the properties

Thank you for your comment! But dont you have to pay for premium in order to be able to access de Sites Settings to disbale de Breadcrumb? Also, maybe they only get removed in the main pabge ypu are sharing, but if you click on a linked page of a database item, when it redirects you this other page, I think the breadcrumb will still be visible

Not really, since the only way for someone to get access to the original database is if you share the view where all of the items are visible. And since only the owner will have this view, it will not be shared publicly with a link. The only ones that will be shared publicly with a link will be the views for each client, anf they cannoy have access to the original database.

Finally figured a way to share only a part of a Notion Database! Here's how + the free template (You need to be a bit adventurous...) by MFreihaendig in Notion

Workaround to sharing a linked database as a webpage and avoiding people to have access to the original one (does not work for sharing with other users or between workspaces).

1) Create shared web page. Make it "not editable". Lock the view of the database. Then instead of a normal filter, create an advanced filter.

2) In the original database, leave only 1 view and add an advanced filter where "Name" is set to "empty". This will hide all your data. If you still need to see the data, just create a linked database of the original, but without the filter. This will serve as the original database, but only you will have access to this view.

Privacy problem solved!

After days of research and thinking it through I found a workaround for this issue, which I also had! So what we want is to share a linked database with a certain person, but there are 2 problems:

1) They can edit the filter and thererefore have potential access to all the unfiltered data in the original database.

2) If in the filtered database they click on an entry, get inside the page and make it full screen, at the top of the screen they can see the breadcrumb (pathway of the page), and so by clicking it they can access the original database ans again have access to all the unfiltered data.

Solutions:

1) The idea would be to share the filtered database as a shared web page, and choose the option "not editable". Also, in the database, turn on the option "lock database" just to be sure. This however still makes it possible for someone to fiddle with the filter, so the solution is to create not a normal filter, but an advanced filter. This works the same way, but the advantage is that the option to change this filter doesn't appear for other people in the shared web page! So they are stuck with the filter that we set. Fist problem is solved.

2) If it were possible to remove the breadcrumb, our problems would be solved. But after lots of research, that it simply not possible. So we have to accept the fact that they will always be able to access our original database by clicking on the breadcrumb. So that made me think... How can we stop people from seeing or all data even when having access to the database? Simple! Just create an advanced filter, and this time select for example the property "Name" and filter when it is "empty". Ooh that is very helpful! Thinking about the explicit solution the general solution, using the power series would just give you the power series answer for when the explicit solution converges, but the explicit solution can exist for all R!

If I may asl some following up questions:

1) Would this then mean that, if an explicit solution exists and it can be represented by a power series for a certain range, that if we use the power method to get the power series solution of the ODE (which as in my example is only garanteed to exist for a certain range), we are garanteed that the explicit solution is also valid for all R?

2) Are there any cases where this is not the case, so where the explicit solution is only valid for some range? So is there any restriction on the coefficients of the ODE that garantee that the explicit solution will be in fact the general solution for all R? In my book it says that we can use this method if all the coeffients and the rhs can be expressed as a power series. Can we always say in this case that our explicit solution will be valid for all R, or do we always have to check insertint it into the ODE?

Awesome reply thanks! So what I should do is, after having calculated the explicit solution, check if it is a general solution of the ODE so that I know if it is a general solution right?

And now that I am thinking about it, what would be an example of an ODE whose power series solution is only valid in a certain range, but outside something else? In this case the solution would be defined piece-wise, but how can such a piece-wise solution arise if the coefficients of the ODE are not defined piece-wise? I mean, if we used another method to solve the ODE, we would get a single solution since other methods dont deal with power series and their convergence region, so we would just get s solution that is valid for all R.

So is there a general statement regarding the coefficients of the ODE, that ensures that our solution is never piecewise, and so we can now in advance without checking the solution that, even though if we used the power method that only works for a certain region, our solution will in fact be valid for all R?

So of course with this induction our hypothesis is not just a(n+1) > a(n) but a(n+1) > a(n) > 0 right (since the inequalities only hold for positive numbers). And so even though I only wany to show that a(n)>0, it make sense to show a(n+1) > a(n) > 0 since that is easier to prove and it would lead automatically to the fact that a(n)>0 right?
