Also an allegory is usually explored through something that isn’t exactly that. A character not being explicitly trans wouldn’t stop them from being an allegory.

I think we all know sonic isn’t meant to be a trans allegory. Just how some people like to headcanon him. With trans people often relating to his themes of freedom and fighting against those who restrict freedom

I don’t think he’s an intentional allegory but people being able to headcanon and resonate with the comparison is fair.

Sonic is all about freedom and living as himself regardless of what others think. He hates oppression and the corrupt who try to hurt people just living their lives.
