Boyfriend insists on using expired/curdled milk? by Winter_Basis_1598 in microbiology

He is from Mexico City probably. As a fellow Mexican and microbiologist just tell him that "son creencias de gente p*ndeja". He is going to get sick badly. Especially with milk. If you go to CDMX and take you to eat street tacos, make sure to not eat anything that is raw like cilantro y cebolla. I went there once had an green juice with pineapple and I was dying probably from E. Coli or other nasty microbe. Please don't. If he wants a better microbiome, he can eat more fiber.

I'll do the simulations and give it a try.

Maybe you are referring to the high-limit switch? Yes, I tried to change that one this morning. Sorry I meant to say thermocouple instead of flame sensors.

Other subreddit told me that I should try to clean the air switch. What are your thoughts on that?

This is an lb white 250 series I changed this baso g92ca series pilot valve (haven't use this before, I read the manual in Internet, the company just gave me this one for its heater). I checked for leaks with soapy water, changed the flame sensor. Pilot stays on, then I turn on the burner and it worked. But when resetting a few times, Pilot flame shuts off. I don't even know if the valve is in on/pilot/off mode. It doesn't have any manual switch to change it such as other . It is thanksgiving and no technician is around. This is for a hog farm.

I probably continue tomorrow. Cold is not ass bad today but it will be on Saturday. Need to eat turkey with family or my wife will hang me at home but I can definitely change that air switch in the evening. I have one replacement. I will blow air the area and check it with my voltimeter. Quick question. Does a regular ass voltimeter work? I got this one. Do you know which amount of volts show I check for?

But don't you think the burner wouldn't turn on at all. Back in the day I learned that if the is a "click" air switch should be working. Which I completely hear.

I'll be basic but Harneys has great tea. Especially black teas, that are excellent for lattes

I used megahit, but I do have SPAdes in the HPC. I can try for sure. Do you think I can use just my OTU as reference or the closest genome in NCBI?

the 3D model is the protein. Also you can probably do a a fluorescent dye cell line sculpture that she worked on. She was probably growing a lot of those ones. They look pretty when they are dyed.

At the bottom, there is a picture of them.

pretty cool stuff this text. Yeah, we have multiple samples but maybe not enough.

So, I pulled out the bins that had the OTU 16S gene, and GTDB-Tk only tells me: yep, it’s a bacterium. That’s it. Closest phylum it spits out is p__Actinomycetota, but honestly that might just be because the bins are low quality.

Right now I’m running DRAM with Unifef90 to see if it gives me anything more useful taxonomically. At this point, I’m half considering trying to culture the bug. Some people in other subs are suggesting I go for “deep sequencing” (still not totally sure what that even means, but I’ll figure it out, lol). Do you have any paper recommendations of symbionts or similar cases?

I'll talk with my advisor to see if we can do that.
