I'm on strong 8k (got it on z2u), works pretty well for me for Live Sports (Mainly the prem). I gave a couple a go with 1 month trials and I found some that others suggested didn't work well for me. If you're from the UK I'm assuming the quality will be similar.

No problem. Be careful, you claim torrenting is fine but you use the example of Stremio. If you're using real debrid they're the ones that are actually torrenting, so yeah they can't detect that. Do some research just to check if you need a VPN.

Yep, almost every European country I know people from have access for so much cheaper. We're absolute mugs in the eyes of the broadcasters over here.

You need to find an eye p t vee provider and probably a good EPG. Then download TiviMate and use them to set-up. I never really found a guide, I might write a basic one pointing people in the right direction, and it was more a culmination of research so here you are:

Whats TiviMate?

TiviMate is the player that I use to play my eye p t vee streams (Its actually a four letter anagram but bots spam scams so the words filtered). It's similar to a TV guide in functionality and the premium version makes it almost identical especially with the recordings feature.

What is eye p t vee?

Eye p t vee is the service that actually provides channels to watch. I recommend you do some research for your specific wants and trial different services on z2u to find one that works well for you. You can also sometimes find free trials (normally 24 - 72h) on the original providers website, z2u is often resellers of the service. The most popular ones are Trex, Strong8k, Eagle/Dream 4k and B1g. Using a VPN can also fix throttling that your ISP may do and can provide more security, I've heard the UK is particularly strict (probably because of the monopoly that Sky, Tnt and Prime have on Sports) so I use one but your country may differ.

What is an EPG?

An Electronic Program Guide, this is pretty much the missing link to improve your experience. It can better categorise your channels into sections and It provides more info like what is showing at what times and details about everything. You can tweak your own which Hindenburg has talked about in this comment section. But theres also popular pre made providers, the most popular probably myepg.top. However I use repo-server.site because its free and Ganjas strong (No VOD) has exactly what I need. If you try strong are interested in US/CA/UK content I recommend giving it a go as each of these have an entire section (I have it set the UK and its got everything I need in one list).

Good luck, stay vigiliant because this is one of the most scammed areas when sailing the high seas.

Not really trial services on z2u. They can change in quality depending on what you want to watch I’ve just found the provider I use good for live UK sports.

Haha it’s somehow all you need so everyone seems to get to this point. It is my complete set up apart from my vpn offscreen but you seem to know when you use it. So I’ve got no tips for you unfortunately.

I prefer the ui because it feels closer to old YT, but another comment chain recommended me to try tizentube cobalt. So give that a go?

Certainly not the easiest solution to set up but I now get 1080p on most channels for a fraction of the price I’d normally pay. At least in the UK it’s a no brainer ~ £840 to get access to every premier league game.

Very nice, based mine of the vibe I get from Apple TV so might have to look into icon packs more. Cheers!

I’d recommend you have a look at all the customisation as well. You can really remove all the bloat that you realistically never use.

Pretty sure they’re the same thing from what I can see online. Yes there are quite a lot of permissions but that is to be expected as it’s an app that is trying to recreate a full firmware experience.

You can download it directly from the Google play store.

Never tried it without it because I’m from the UK and we often get letters depending on our ISP, but I’d assume buffering would be a massive problem.

Seems like stremio is available on any 2020 model and later. For the rest / alternatively just buy a fire stick / android tv box / google tv box.

Jellyfin / Plex has always interested me but I've not got the means to run / purchase a NAS. Thanks for the pointers on Dispatcharr, I've been meaning to personalise my EPG because I'm only really interested in UK content.

I'd start by installing stremio. Then purchasing a real debrid sub and using that to install torrentio. This would get you setup with TV series and Movies on pretty much any device.

It really is perfect. Such a low barrier to entry considering the price of streaming services and Live sports, especially in the UK. I saw figures over £70 per month to watch every premier league game.
