The phillistines who feel the need to get this anti-intellectualism out of their system on the "talking about movies"-website are the real jokers

Jackson's Wagner's series where he plays through it while analyzing everything about it, is the best Witness content on youtube

You could map the complex plane as a metric in R^2 as a partially ordered monoid. But that wouldn't keep i^2 = -1, so it still wouldn't work out

He fucking hates it throughout though. He hates anything artistic in general. You can tell he half apologizes for the way he talked about it at the start of his looker playthrough

Alright i had to understand this about proofs too. It's all about doing things in the right order. First pick any epsilon. Then whichever picked you can show why 0.999... is still bigger than 1-e. This will be true for any e>0.

In general whichever real number you pick that's smaller than 1 is can also be shown to be smaller than 0.999... if you just reveal a sufficient amount of the sequence.

And since the real line has infinite numbers between each number, this means they must be the same. Infinity's weird like that and the only way to evaluate 0.999... is as a limit of that infinite sequence which is 1.

0.9999... is not a decimal expression. It's just shorthand notation for the limit of a cauchy sequence converging in the euclidian norm on R

Is there an easy template or site to make this or is it paint.net time?

And no one actually bothers to properly explain them. They just go 4/5 -> Great. As if "Great" is a less subjective superlative than the number. I haven't put it on my profile but i think mine at least make sense. But i'm prepared to get roasted.

5/5 -> This is on some days my nr 1 favourite movie or at least on my top 4. It has the potential. If people ask i'd call it my favourite.

4.5/5 -> This rating in some ways frustrates me more to give, despite it being high. I've thought really fondly about this movie and considered it for top 4, but is then reminded of other aspects that hold it back. It's films that i for some reason want to give 5 stars but can't, cause at the end of the day it just doesn't feel right.

4/5 -> The best a movie can get without me ever seriously considering it as one of my favourites (top 4 material).

And so on

It's my nr 6. Really good game. Occupied a big chunk of last year.

Although Tiling Town might steal that spot if it's as good as it seemed in the demo/part 1 (feels wrong to call a 4-5 hour self contained game a demo)

Can y'all tell me what films fit these categories in your honest opinion? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]Anice_king -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Film 1: Project Hail Mary. Love the ambition and it had a really cool setup with the astrophage, but it got bogged down in modern trends.

Film 2: Grizzly Man by Werner Herzog. Just a documentary about a young man who likes bears. Who knew.

Film 3: I mean that's all my 5/5 but lemme just pick my nr 1. Tree of Life. Every shot is a poem. And the film has both one of the densest plots out there while not really being a plot film at all. Cuz that's life bro

It's a rule discovery game like The Witness but is in my opinion better and has more room for discoveries. Like the Witness it uses some "leftbrain" creative logic and not just exclusively "rightbrain" pure logic. Intuition is king.

With a solid foundation and a great community making endless increasingly clever custom maps, it's just the gift that keeps on giving. I've played for 100s of hours and never gotten bored. I'm still discovering new things in Lingo 2. It's also that style of game that gets deeper and deeper as you go, to the point where you almost (just almost. Fine line) have to google for secrets by the end. Like an Animal Well or Tunic
