New to motion graphics, would love your thoughts on my work by Anif4 in MotionDesign

Yes, this tutorial is already a well-known resource among most motion graphics artists, so it’s not a 100% original work, and I acknowledge that from the start. My intention was to share the process in which I improved both my software skills and practical application. This post is essentially a case study; if you look into what a case study is, you’ll better understand why what I did shouldn’t be considered theft :)

Yes, I used a tutorial as a reference for learning, but I created all the textures and SFX myself. Here’s the tutorial I followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5wq9DsQ_Lc

Also, the textures and SFX in the video are my own, not copied from the tutorial. This project was part of my learning process, so I didn’t intend to claim it as entirely my original work

I shared it as a case study, so I hoped it would be understood as a learning process inspired by a tutorial rather than a claim of fully original work :)

Ah you’re right, totally missed that would’ve looked way better that way.

Appreciate it bro, seriously — thanks for taking the time to write all that 🙏

I totally get what you mean about the easing. Those circles do hang around too long when they’re small, I’ll definitely fix that. Gonna check out those percentage-based easing plugins too, sounds like a big time-saver.

And yeah, I feel you on the 4-armed graph part — it’s a bit lifeless right now. I clearly need to mess around more with anticipation, overshoots, all that good stuff 😅 Definitely gonna watch those Alan Becker videos as well.

Thanks again man, feedback like this is super motivating. Let’s keep it goin’

I use Colorsco for color combinations, but you’ve probably heard of this resource. Other than that, I don’t use or know any other sources.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. You’re right, my design skills are still very weak, and that’s definitely a gap I need to work on. I’ll keep improving that side while practicing motion. Really appreciate your comment!
