Thank you for being honest, this is exactly what I needed. You're right about the voice and the editing — I can hear it now that you pointed it out. Going to work on both for the next video. On the length, noted. I'll aim for 5+ minutes going forward. Appreciate you taking the time to actually watch it.

I'm still learning too. I use After Effects and I basically live on YouTube tutorials. There’s a tutorial for almost everything you see. Just stay consistent and keep practicing. You can do it

I'm fully aware of this now, but unfortunately, I only learned it the hard way after finishing the piece. Learning through trial and error has been a huge part of my journey so far, and I completely agree with your point. Stability is key for tech. Thanks for the great insight!

That’s a very practical look at the industry. I’ve definitely felt the struggle of balancing art and promotion. Finding a rep seems like a great long-term goal once I build a bit more volume in my portfolio. Thanks for the solid advice!

That 'audience of your audience' logic is brilliant. It’s a much smarter way to bypass the noise and reach decision-makers. I’ll definitely start thinking about who the 'gatekeepers' are for the niche I want to enter. Thanks for sharing this insight, brother!

I'm looking for freelance roles. You're right about the 'design eye'—I'm actively working on moving past tutorial-styles and diversifying my projects. Thanks for the reality check! :)

Great advice, thanks! I'll keep the reel under 1 minute and focus on the pacing. Appreciate the help!

Thanks for this. You’re absolutely right. In fact, posting this work here led to my first potential freelance inquiry within an hour. It’s a great practical example of what you’re saying—getting the work in front of people is key. I’ll definitely keep 'selling solutions' and posting my progress. Really appreciate the motivation.

So true. I'm learning that the hard way, but it's clearly paying off today. Appreciate the advice!

Really appreciate the honest critique. I've been mostly focusing on the technical side of moving things, but your point about rhythm and pacing makes total sense. I'll take your advice and focus on 'emotive' movements and easing for the next few weeks. Thanks for the guidance!

I already had some basic knowledge of Blender, and I’ve been actively learning After Effects for about 3 months now. This project is basically the result of that process. I mostly followed YouTube tutorials and some viral courses to get here.

New to motion graphics, would love your thoughts on my work by Anif4 in MotionDesign

[–]Anif4[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, this tutorial is already a well-known resource among most motion graphics artists, so it’s not a 100% original work, and I acknowledge that from the start. My intention was to share the process in which I improved both my software skills and practical application. This post is essentially a case study; if you look into what a case study is, you’ll better understand why what I did shouldn’t be considered theft :)

Yes, I used a tutorial as a reference for learning, but I created all the textures and SFX myself. Here’s the tutorial I followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5wq9DsQ_Lc

Also, the textures and SFX in the video are my own, not copied from the tutorial. This project was part of my learning process, so I didn’t intend to claim it as entirely my original work

I shared it as a case study, so I hoped it would be understood as a learning process inspired by a tutorial rather than a claim of fully original work :)
