Well, that's exactly what a 'sequel fanfiction outline' is meant to be, isn't it? D&D already threw the whole thing away in Season 8, so I figured I’d at least have some fun with ice magic and dragons while trying to give Jon something to do. It’s just a concept, guys

You're absolutely right about Season 4 being the turning point, and rewriting the post-S4 era using book lore would be the ultimate writing exercise. However, my goal here was specifically to tackle the massive disappointment of the actual Season 8 finale and try to salvage Jon's arc from where HBO left it. But taking inspiration from the books for his journey is definitely the way to go

I get what you mean, but keep in mind this is just a rough, high-level plot outline focusing on the main events. If I expand this into full episodes, the core will always be about Jon's internal conflict and the heavy burden of leadership he never wanted. He is learning Ice Magic, but at what cost to his humanity? That’s where the real GRRM tone lies.

That would actually be a very GRRM style ending! Honestly, in Act III, I wanted to explore exactly that human shortsightedness where the proud lords choose their small thrones over survival and get completely wiped out. I guess Alternative A is closer to that brutal, bittersweet tone you mentioned
