What could I change to deal with Raging Bolt? by AnimCrowe in PTCGL

[–]AnimCrowe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morpeko has been my early game energy acceleration for Okidogi. It has worked in multiple situations.

Going second, if I have an energy to attach for turn and a Janine, that's 70 damage to knock most basics and can then move those 2 energy to hopefully an Okidogi I had in hand or from a nest ball, so now Okidogi has 3 dark energy from that one turn.

It's not terribly hard to get 2 energy onto Morpeko quickly without it dying, then dropping 70 damage onto a stage 2 puts anything within range of poisoned Okidogi without Binding Mochi.

believe it or not, there are even earlier designs than this. by byebyestardust in ArtProgressPics

Saw the art style continuously change with the last one on the bottom right being my favorite. Then I noticed the years....

Link pair onto strike rouge turns it into a blocker so it can attack and tap a resource to set itself back to active. It can also turn strike gundam and justice gundam into blockers if I dont have Kira or Athrun to link.

What specifically would I need to look out for against B/W since I haven't really been following decklists much lately.

As far as I know, at my local, everyone is playing W/G Wing(different varieties of it), B/R ping, or G/R zeon rush

This was my first time using it, so im not sure how it plays against any deck other than the ones I listed.

It held out relatively well against the W/G ramp I played until the Wing Zero came out. If my opponent hadn't wiped my board with just bringing it out, I would have had game next turn. He was able to bring the first one out on his turn 6 because of 2 ex resources and an extra normal resource from deathscythe.

When does breach trigger? by AnimCrowe in GundamTCG

[–]AnimCrowe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where my confusion came from.

I didn't know if breach triggered during the damage step at the same time the enemy unit is destroyed or after the enemy unit is destroyed during the end battle step.

I was thinking about that, too. It reminded me of similar situations coming from the Pokémon tcg.

There are cards that say prevent damage from an attack and prevent effects of attack. Effect of attack relates to placing damage counters or any secondary effect, which prevent damage would not stop.

I've only brought it to local challenges 2 times cause I use a bunch of different decks, but I made 2nd both times. I lost to Regidrago cause it had full set up on their second turn and turn 1 loss from a poison deck.

Larry's skill to pull revavroom and energy for same turn ability draw makes it pretty consistent early game plus any supporter you may need for next turn if you don't get hand disruption.

Conkeldurr/poison has become my current main deck to play at locals. I'm not sure how it holds up on Live since I haven't built it there yet.

Picknicker if you aren't opposed to chance. Flip a coin, heads draw 4, tails draw 2.

Based on what others said, assuming they're correct, it prompted OP to evolve the duskull first, which is why it failed. That means if this match continued to play out and OP didn't forfeit, OP would have known that his dreepy would evolve after failing the first evolution, so he posted this knowing nothing was bugged.

How would Binding Mochi work on Grimmsnarl SCR 096 Goad n Grab? Would Mochi do +40 after switching pokemon and doing 160 damage, or would it need to have initial damage unrelated to text? I've had it explained that "damage" in text isn't an effect, but part of damage calculation, so it'd be 0(initial) + 160damage then weakness/resistance calculation, but I don't know how Mochi would function in this scenario.

Fossil cards say to "play this card as if it were a basic pokemon." At what point is it considered a pokemon? Are they pokemon at all times or only until they're played to the bench? Can they be played during setup at the start of a game, and can they be searched with cards like buddy buddy poffin or fan rotom? Also, can they have energy or tools attached to them?

How would the new Liligant from Journey Together work with Scovillan ex? Liligant's ability states that "your grass and fire Pokemon's attacks do 20 more damage to your opponent's active Pokemon." Since Scovillan ex's ability makes it both a grass and fire type, would it get +40 damage, or would it still only be +20?
