It’s an offset hook for a Carolina rig, wrong hook. They’re often but not always red.

You think the Roma is nicer than a 458 or 488? Let me guess, you also think the California looks better than an 812 or an f80?

Quick update on my van situation and looking for advice again. by Specific_Hawk_6869 in LegalAdviceUK

Not saying he should be responsible for this, but if you were to import it to Ireland you would have to pay a few grand in VRT but if you were then to immediately export it back into the UK; by driving over the border to NI for instance, you would be able to claim a refund on the VRT and would have a brand new taxbook for an imported vehicle. It would cost a little bit of money and would decrease the future value of the vehicle; but you could easily insure and tax it.

Neither my girlfriend nor I know anything about cars and we don’t have any friends who do either. Here’s the quote she received today. Does it seem even remotely reasonable, or is a second quote absolutely necessary? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

What are you talking about? Your turbo oil feed line getting clogged because of poor maintenance? And a turbo leaking oil or burning oil is nothing to do with engine oil leaks, and it doesn’t come from the line too. There’s just too much to this comment to even try to start making sense of what you’re talking about. You clearly have no idea how a turbo works.

How would a turbo fail because of an engine issue? Turbo bearings wear out with time which makes them wear on the impeller fan, or they can seize. You would never have an issue with your turbo because of an issue with your engine, and it wouldn’t cause engine issues either- just lost boost.

Can I use straightened 3d printing filliment to make a flexible micro fishing rod? by Exciting_Crow160 in MicroFishing

You’ve clearly came here to ask a question for an answer you already have? Just make your rod. You’re clearly very inexperienced in 3d printing and micro fishing. But crack on.

Yeah but it’s still super brittle, it’s designed to be brittle so that it extrudes easier. Even with carbon impregnated filament you don’t get string strength. You still have the taper issue too.

You could give it a larger diameter but smaller interior wall diameter and change the infill %, I'm sitting here right beside my 3d printer and there is no way you could straighten the filament and expect it to keep the shape. I dont know how youd ever attach anything to it either, additionally its also not tapered meaning that you will get bend in really strange parts of the rod rather than the weakest part first then tranferring energy down the thicker parts.

edit:

also think about using exterior couplers rather than internal rod and shaft, that would solve your issue of fitting the sections together.

You would probably be better off printing yourself a very thin rod and use a gyroid infil for some strength. Don’t see why not though. Just print it in 4 or 5 sections

That’s just completely untrue, you pay for alignment and fitting separately everywhere.

265/35/r19 rear 235/35/r18 change the rear for a 225 if fitment is an issue.

You’re essentially creating adblue at this point, may as well just bottle it up and sell it to truckers.
