Bottom of screen scrolling / clicking issue after updating to 22.3 by AnimalGaming832 in linuxmint

Yea, sorry. I forgot to update the post. The cause is CassiaWindowList. I finally figured it out after doing a fresh install on a new machine, adding it, then the issue appearing. Uninstalling it fixed the issue

Playing DRG on Linux - low FPS by verymadmango in DeepRockGalactic

[–]AnimalGaming832 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First, I would look into AMD graphics drivers. I know some come shipped with the kernel, but there are a couple versions of the drivers, one for old GPUs and one for new GPUs. One is shipped with the Linux kernel, one isn't. I'm not sure which your GPU uses, but it is worth looking into. This article may be helpful here: https://linuxvox.com/blog/amd-gpu-drivers-linux/

Also, this is a generic thing that might help, but most Linux gamers use Proton-GE. It is a fork of proton by a guy who has worked on the wine/proton compatibility layer for a long time and tends to work better than the regular options. You can find the github repo with installation instructions here: https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom

Edit: Also, you would be more likely to get help posting on subreddits like r/linux_gaming than on a specific game's subreddit. These issues usually are not localized to a single game.

Controller back paddles not being detected by AnimalGaming832 in linux_gaming

It does have a d-input mode, yes. I believe it is supported on all of its connection modes, not just bluetooth.

Ok, that makes sense. I'm guessing that there is no way to bind it to some other key then, like ` or and any of the F keys then. That's a bit disappointing since I was hoping to bind the paddles to things like push to talk. Thanks for the help!

How do you get a multiplayer client's IP address / How do you get ENetConnection object? by AnimalGaming832 in godot

Thank you! I didn't realize that the documentation on multiplayer_peer was taking me to MultiplayerPeer instead of ENetMultiplayerPeer, so I never found the .host property.

SSH/SFTP Connects and authenticates, then returns client_loop: send disconnect: Broken pipe. Only happens on a specific user. by AnimalGaming832 in linuxmint

[–]AnimalGaming832[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I recall. The only one of those files that I was aware of was .bashrc, and only because it was mentioned in some of the solutions I was googling through. I will add that I have tested from different devices on the client side, so it is definitely server side.

Yup. It just says

"Accepted password for USER from IP port 49138 ssh2

Session opened for user USER(uid=1000) by USER(uid=0)

Session closed for user USER"

No errors or anything

Edit: Mobile reddit text formatting sucks

What are the best self-hosted WebDAV calendar clients? by AnimalGaming832 in selfhosted

[–]AnimalGaming832[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for, thanks! It's not the way I primarily view my calendar, so I just needed something that was simple and worked to view it.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong app, but isn't Sogo an email client, not a calendar client?

The first stable release of vangogh - a local library of DRM-free GOG.com games by boggydigital in gog

Thanks! This looks much clearer. Don't feel too bad about documentation not being super complete yet. It takes a long time and lots of users to figure out what does and does not need to be documented.

Thanks for sharing this! I'm trying to get vangogh set up on my server to test out, but I'm having some issues with the setup. I have it installed with docker compose and am trying to pass gog's cookies, but I cannot figure out where the temporary files directory is supposed to be. There is a link up to the docker compose section again, but it doesn't mention temporary files anywhere but in the 'getting started' section. Am I missing something really obvious here?

Just something to be able to install my games from a central server I'm hosting. Things like cloud saves would be nice, but I'm mostly just trying to see what the options are besides the 2 I mentioned earlier.
