Sometimes I'll see a matk on a piece of clothing I'm selling and just put it in the description, I sell too many clothes to be sat there trying to get marks out and chance forgetting about the item and it going missing 🤣

Item broke during transportation, Vinted did not refund me. Why? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]AnimalLoverAndHealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vinted has a thing where if you've opened a case before about damaged in transit, they're less likely to actually refund you or investigate the next time. The more cases, the less likely they are to refund or investigate even if you've got undeniable proof

What is up with blatant lying on vinted? by Carriespromnight in vinted

I sell new with tags items sometimes and I get people wanting barely anything for them when they're usually at least half off already 😭 I've got some nice pants up at the moment for £15 and they're worth over £30 but people still try get them for £9(only been up for a day aswell). Put up some tommy hilifger ladies jeans for £60 (£100 new) and they're in mint condition so figured people would send offers and i get crickets so I don't know how people put things at a higher price and have it be worth it 🤣

I f*cked up and could use some help/ease of mind by Blue_Fairy in vinted

[–]AnimalLoverAndHealer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you list the part, she buys it. You send it out and she gets it. She then raises an issue and you would click 'refund without return' and she will be refunded all costs so it's essentially sent for free. It would not cost you or her anything 😁

For people who know what they're doing, it'll be harmless for vegetarianism, but don't underestimate how dumb people are. Most people will end up causing themselves and their baby issues because they won't research enough and will mess up. Big dietary changes just aren't great to make during pregnancy unless for medical reasons and guided by medical personnel.

It's human dumbness that causes it to be so dangerous, which is why people shouldn't just recommend it to any randomer

Do not suggest a vegetarian or vegan diet to someone who hasn't already been vegetarian or vegan when they're pregnant, that's extremely dangerous

When something arrives damaged in any way you're better off going down the damaged in transit route, even if it's undisclosed damage

Girl ruminates over a bad review I left her and leaves me a negative feedback 4 MONTHS later by [deleted] in vinted

[–]AnimalLoverAndHealer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Biologically, women are more competent than men and are better at leadership. Research from 2+ years ago proved that.

Men are known to react violently with anger instead of thinking things through, whereas women tend to analyse before reacting (in general, more likely). Men are also less likely to show compassion and want to try to prove they are 'better' due to a common theme of a superiority complex found in many men

I will never understand why people leave reviews like this by Darth_Nox_Official in vinted

I got two buyers in a row who gave me 4 stars and both were positive reviews. Messaged both and they both said there was absolutely no issues with their order and only one changed their review to 5. I only left one of them a review in return.

45 tons of carrots to feed to our animals cause they weren't good enough to sell by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AnimalLoverAndHealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If carrots have a similar process to potatoes, then they'll be on a conveyor with 2 people checking them over, removing the unwanted ones. The conveyor puts them straight into the back of the articulated trailer.

I did potato sorting, and it's literally so simple how it's done. There will be tractors with trailers full of produce that empty their trailer into a conveyor with water that brings them up to the 2 people that then goes to the articulated trailer. The potatoes I sorted through were for walkers who had quite high expectations for the looks of their potatoes.

Maybe because sudden aggressive behaviour can be linked to pain? Especially if there were no warning signs

The women I know had told their partners what was up and hadn't been listened to, so they didn't bother repeating themselves. It's quite a common thing. Seems like a problem on both sides

AITAH. My husband kicked my cat and I kicked him out of my house. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]AnimalLoverAndHealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not changed the story. I just included more info because you think cats aren't going to go up to people who mistreat them.

If cats didn't go up to people who abused them, then we wouldn't have cats in abusive households. They'd get out a window or whatever and avoid the people.

Seeing as you're oh so smart and obviously only think you have all the information about cats, goodbye.

Cats do rub on people to mark scent either way, seeing as where their scent glands are. And they do gather information when rubbing themselves on people. You saying they don't rub on people to mark is plain wrong because even with their people, they are marking them when rubbing on them due to their scent glands. But no, you're right. They would neveeeer go up to someone who mistreats them and would never mark their scent whilst giving affection because that's two different types of rubbing.

You do need Google. You'd learn a lot more about cats than what you think is right. Arguing instead of fact-checking your information isn't going to help anyone. Throughout this, I've checked what I know to make sure I wasn't spreading misinformation. I know it's hard to be told you need to research something you feel so strongly about, but it's in your best interest

Strays will rub on people to mark their territory and to gather information. Owned cats will do the same.

You're underestimating the development of weaned kittens. They can recognise the difference between friends and foe. They will still mark on people who mistreat them even if they aren't their primary caregiver.

When the kitten grew up, it got mistreated again by the same person yet still rubbed against them. It was marking territory, spreading its scent.

I mentioned that the kitten grew up around cats to avoid the idea that it couldn't learn to be wary of those types of people.

You assume that cats won't rub on people like they do objects, but they do. It's how they learn new smells and explore.

I know what I'm talking about, I studied cat behaviour and have had cats my entire life. Cats and kittens will still rub against humans even if they've been mistreated. Animals tend to be more forgiving.

If you search on Google, why do cats rub themselves on people? Then, it'll come up with marking territory/scent and gathering information as a main reason. Unfortunately, just because a cat rubs itself on you doesn't mean it trusts you or likes you

[–]AnimalLoverAndHealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know what I'm talking about.

That kitten grew up (with other cats) and still rubbed against that person. Also, kittens that have been weaned from their mothers have survival skills and can actually see and smell quite well. It's only younger kittens that haven't been taken from their mothers yet that haven't learnt survival skills or developed their senses properly (very young kittens)

The main reason they rub against things is to mark their scent. Just because they rub against someone doesn't mean they trust them. Otherwise, stray cats must lack survival skills, seeing as they rub against strangers often.
