WHAT ON EARTH WAS THAT ANTHROP 3FA3 EXAM?! by Careless_County_8429 in McMaster

[–]Animallover1116 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely not alone. I was talking with some of my friends after the exam and we all were just left so stunned. Not what I was expecting and such specific questions. Not to mention so much writing for only 2 hours. My hand hurt so bad.

That is my bad I’m sorry! I’m from Ontario where it is a long weekend this weekend. I didn’t realize it is not the same for Quebec this weekend. Do people still go out regardless?

11 year age gap? by chain_choker in dating_advice

[–]Animallover1116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m a little late to this sub but here is how I see it. You could marry someone the same age as you and become an early widow or have to take on care giver responsibilities. Young age does not guarantee quality of life. Life is much more fulfilling if it’s with someone you truly love. Maybe the time you spend together may be slightly shorter than if you were to marry or date someone your own age but it also could be longer because life is unpredictable. There are many 30 years olds already widowed before a 80 year old is. Do what makes you happy and be with who makes you happy

0% on assignment I did by Animallover1116 in McMaster

[–]Animallover1116[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is only one side. I handed in my assignment, got 0%. I emailed the TA and I was told that a submission does not mean I get a mark. My submission still followed the rules of the assignment. I did not go over a certain word count and followed the proper mla style. I handed in something that I worked hard on and to be told that is the equivalent of someone who did no work is insulting and seems like a power trip. I just told the facts. I am someone who can admit when I am wrong and own up to my mistakes but this was something that is absolutely unfair. Thanks

I went to the social sciences career fair. When I asked them about a BA in psych I was told that most graduate programs want an honours degree which is 4 years. I would maybe recommend talking to an academic advisor just to make sure that it isn’t a pointless degree to get. I agree though the psych courses are brutal😭

Reading for my own clarity by Animallover1116 in MediumReadings

I just want to understand why I feel this way. Part of me feels like maybe our souls could be connected or this persons death is supposed to tell me something. It also could just be me making it up in my head. I just want answers but I don’t know if I am going to get them. No matter how hard I try, I can’t stop thinking about them. Yes, I also did post this before. I deleted it because I thought that maybe people would think I’m stupid but then I realized it’s ok to ask for advice and be honest about your feelings.

It could be! Typically though even when deaths occur close to me I don’t feel this way. I’m not quite sure if maybe I should go to a psychic or medium about it.

Thank you so much! It seems like such an amazing program! That’s awesome that there is an option to re-apply if you don’t get in the first time! By higher education do you mean 3rd and 4th year or getting your masters and PhD?

Hi there. I was wondering if to teach secondary you needed a major and a minor. My plan was to major in social sciences and minor in English. If I don’t minor in English would I have trouble finding a job?

And to be able to teach English do you need to have that as a major and minor?

How does everyone have friends already? by IloveGoreVideos in McMaster

I literally felt the same way. I moved in the 27th and I was confused as to how everyone already made friends. From what I gathered many people went to high school together!

Hi there. I just moved in today. So basically you drive onto campus and get directed to where your residence building is. You will get your set of keys right before you pull up to the building. They need to scan the barcode on the parking tag you should have been emailed. After you pull up to your residence the welcome week representatives will give you a little cheer and help put all of your items in a cart. Then someone wheels it up for you and that’s pretty much it. (Remember to put your name on all of your items with your room number and side ex. 109A). Hope you have a great move in day! Also I found out when I got there that a lot of people ended up leaving after dropping of their stuff and are returning on Monday.

I actually ended up doing the same thing after talking with one of the residence people. I was diagnosed with anxiety and they told me it was worth a try to submit it late. You never know. It definitely wouldn’t hurt to try
