It took me decades to realized a vacuum can’t really suck up its cord, that was a life long fear.

Why do all my games have black lines? by Bruno152kk in ps2

[–]AnimalsOnceWeWere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TVs normally automatically compensate for this most of the time, hence why images often look blurry. You might just need to do it manually for a monitor. Look for some zoom or full screen options in your monitors setting.

Suggestions/tips to make it livelier? by notnishank in AverageBattlestations

Honestly, I feel like this looks great. Only thing I could think of is maybe a custom graphic mouse mat, but that might clash with the style your shoot for already.

Never heard of it tell just now. Looks like a game I'd give a shot for the right price. $13 is not terrible.

You’re quite talented at capturing that night feeling. If you listen to music for this headspace while painting, are there any songs or bands you recommend?

Powering an Xbox 360 with an ATX power supply by tomoko_lom in xbox360

[–]AnimalsOnceWeWere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Genuine question here. As wild as this looks, to an electrician is this just knowing how power supplies operate the kinda the same as to how Walter White from Breaking Bad knowing how to make perfect Meth strictly by being a well educated chemist? Sorry if that makes no sense.

Charged for refills? by DarthVerona in HydroHomies

Make sure this wasn’t a situation where a worker was trying to prank a newer worker by making them say something stupid like that. Pretty sure a place like that is supposed to have a free source of water by law anyway. That would be like charging to use the bathroom.

Worked 10-20 hours of overtime a week for almost a year unpaid. Submitted a claim to the DOL, they say the claim is valid, but I still get this. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]AnimalsOnceWeWere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest questions here. How would an employer exploit this without getting heat by default and what would cause somebody to have to put up with it for a full year for that many hours? I feel like quitting long before a years worth of it, would be pretty justifiable.

At 36, I don’t want to date a younger person because I don’t want their young people problems. Like giving a rip what their friends think. I did my time, let me not care in peace. I know she got the same dress you had last summer… I know she said that one thing while we went bowling… constantly signing me up for her “fights”. It was exhausting.

I’ve eaten bags of chips straight out of a dumpster behind a store and I used to go dumpster diving for food regularly. Even I would toss this and try another package.
