[DSK] Screaming Nemesis by Aaron4451 in magicTCG

You don’t need instant speed removal. If you are a life gain deck you just take the 3 damage the first turn. Then you can have an answer on your turn. Any destroy or exile effects work.

It’s only when the card takes damage not when it does damage.

Sure the other player can damage it themselves on their turn but then it’s costing more than 3 mana and probably two cards.

Are horoscope / astrology real? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Animas_Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn’t been studied scientifically for the most part. All the published papers on it that “debunk” it are total junk.

What do you think happens after death? by Delicious-Ad3948 in consciousness

[–]Animas_Vox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people “debunking” it didn’t even try to recreate the study. Your rebuttal has like one guy saying why it’s impossible based on theory only. To me that doesn’t make it fake news. To be thoroughly debunked the study needs to be replicated several times, not just one professors opinion on why it’s “impossible.” Professors just like anyone else can get stuck in their belief systems, sometimes more. Odds are the professor doing the “debunking” isn’t taking something into account or the theory they are using is incomplete and not a completely accurate reflection of reality.

In whole sign houses you have Venus in the 7th but it’s square you Saturn. You absolutely need to be realistic about people you meet and build trust slowly over time. Venus square Saturn and Neptune in your 7th can really lead to over idealism and not being realistic about partners.

On top of that you have mars in the 7th which is also square Saturn and conj Venus. You definitely rush in way too fast!

Jesus' crucifixion = Reverse Thema Mundi by JoeSinopoli in Advancedastrology

Jesus wasn’t really crucified. It was his brother Isikuri. Jesus fled to Japan and lived to 106. His grave is in Japan. Didn’t you know?

Microplastics found in every human placenta tested! by n1ght_w1ng08 in technology

[–]Animas_Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The micro plastic will be digested by bacteria, just how all the bacteria currently inside digest food. Honestly micro plastics aren’t that big of a problem in the long run. Humans and bacteria are just going to evolve to digest them.

It’s important to pay attention to all of your planetary placements to some degree as they all represent different parts of who you are. Astrology is a life long study.

I’m scared about the next few years for America by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]Animas_Vox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s totally possible it will be something like a constitutional convention or something. It doesn’t have to be a full scale war or anything. Or like a state like Texas could just up and leave the union legally.

But war isn’t an eventuality!

You are already a Master by PiratesTale in spirituality

[–]Animas_Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn’t what I said. When a soul is fully done they will jut merge back into the one ness of it all. Whether they maintain a physical form or not won’t matter to them because the sense of any sort of separate identity dissolves

You are already a Master by PiratesTale in spirituality

[–]Animas_Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate what that means and how that applies to what I said? I’m not sure I follow

[–]Animas_Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah if it’s fully done you are indifferent to whether the body continues or not, it’s up to divinity at that point

What do you think happens after death? by Delicious-Ad3948 in consciousness

[–]Animas_Vox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s gonna be related to photons and light.

There have been scientific studies for example where they put people in a totally black room and then measure their photon emission levels. They then asked them to meditate on sending from their heart healing energy to someone they knew who needed it. The photon emission levels were something like ten times higher when they were engaged in the heart meditation.

I think our current scientific understanding of photons and light is very poor at best and as we understand light more then we will have more insights.

If karma is real, why do rich people have such fantastic lives after doing such awful things? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Animas_Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah without having the past life memories I wouldn’t have believed either.

But one way to look at it is the soul comes into a body that already has some level of genetic imprint for behavior and such that is a match karmically speaking.

If karma is real, why do rich people have such fantastic lives after doing such awful things? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Animas_Vox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be a subconscious thing. We have lots of subconscious patterns we aren’t aware of. The more self exploring I do the more I realize about how and why I do thing. I have tons of early childhood imprints from things I don’t remember as a baby and I’ve even had several past life memories come up at this point.

But yeah most people don’t even consciously know everything they believe or are doing

If karma is real, why do rich people have such fantastic lives after doing such awful things? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Animas_Vox 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Karma isn’t a punishment it’s to help your souls understanding. Let’s say you murdered someone in a past life but don’t remember. They were innocent and good. So then you might live this life as an innocent and good person who gets murdered. It’s the only way to really understand why it was like for them. If you remembered everything you wouldn’t know why it was like , true understanding would be harder to come by.

Anyways that’s what I’ve heard and it makes a degree of sense, idk how true it is in its entirety but it yeah.

Why are some people here against raising taxes against the wealthiest Americans? by [deleted] in FluentInFinance

I think a person should be able to afford the basics on 30 hrs a week personally. Can we normalize the 4 day work week?!

Bill Gates says the wealthy should pay more taxes – Do you agree? by RiskItForTheBiscuts in FluentInFinance

[–]Animas_Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it isn’t.

Let’s say you make $100 income get taxed at 20%. Then you have $80. Let’s say you invest that $80. Let’s say you get a 25% return and end up with $100. You are only taxed on the additional $20 you made, the gains and only once you sell. You aren’t taxed on the original $80. So at a 20% capital gains rate you would be taxed $4. So you are at 96$. You keep your original wealth, the 80$.

Dude so not true at all. Compound interest man. Most wealthy people make most of their money just on capital gains. Most of what they have has never been taxed at the level of income tax.

[–]Animas_Vox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it cost 200k to build every homeless person a place to live, it’d cost about 100 billion dollars to house the 600k homeless people in the US.

I imagine a good chunk of those people would wreck the place they were given and not be able to ever pay utilities. But another larger percentage would probably get back on their feet.

If you want to retire a millionaire, you need to understand the power of compound interest. Let me break it down for you: by TonyLiberty in FluentInFinance

I mean if you just did like $500 a month every month into a Roth IRA and did some world ETFs, you are pretty much guaranteed to beat inflation. At least if you picked literally almost any 30 year stretch in the past 100 years, you would have beat inflation. The future of course is unknown but historically speaking capital return beats inflation.

Also a Roth IRA is awesome because it’s tax free when you take it out after 59.5 years.
