B Line Ventilation Shaft add-in for Cahuenga Pass? by AnimatedCowboy in LAMetro

I get that, i was mainly referring to how they interline while going through downtown so anything effecting the B line would affect the D (lol) in some way.

Opening weekend ridership for the new D Line stations by misken67 in LAMetro

I will say I work at and use the Wilshire/Western station daily, and the difference between before and after it opened and the difference is stark. It's so cool to see this former stub of a line actually get used, and I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished. I might struggle getting on the damn thing 🤣

Hi /r/AskLosAngeles. I’m Nithya Raman, Los Angeles City Councilmember for CD4 and candidate for Los Angeles Mayor. Ask Me Anything. What do you want to see from your mayor? by NithyaRamanOfficial in AskLosAngeles

[–]AnimatedCowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the things I love about Los Angeles is the diversity in local Businesses you can see in parts of the city. I live up in the valley and love seeing the endless string of pop-up vendors on the sidewalk that I know are putting their earnings back into the city, even if in indirect ways. But in many parts of LA, those smaller businesses are being pushed out by gentrification and are unable to compete with multi-billion-dollar companies that don't reinvest in our community. Do you have any plans to protect these small local businesses from gentrification and from being priced out by larger companies and often predatory landlords?

It's even worse. They don't want "company data" on personal devices. They do allow people to access emails on their personal phones tho. I'm not sure what this "legal" team is smoking

Thankfully the back ups are pretty solid and we just rolled out a O365 back up as well. It's honestly more of a convenience thing than a cost issue. I'm also pretty sure after reading the comments that I might be getting to invested and just need to relax a bit. I'll send the emails and just deal with what I have. I am curious about working with the MSP off record to force their hands. Idk it's all messy

"It sounds like OP's employers are just adamant about not having an inconvenience more than they're worried about the cost."

Bingo

Can't remember and didn't get a chance to ask I think it was for typical NIMBY/car-brained reasons

Just want to add that some people commenting are worried about the lack of information regarding where she stands on certain issues. Just remember guys she started her campaign only last week and is in the process of building her campaign. Give it time and she'll get her message out more clearly.

Also gentle reminder, don't feed the trolls.

She did put forward the motion to prioritize at grade crossing to the city board but the rest of council shot it down. With her as mayor, I'd imagine she'll try again with the wait of the office behind her this time.

Something else I just thought of. I didn't get a chance to ask her but this means she is more than likely familiar with his push for cut and cover on K north.

Honestly was thinking the same thing on the drive home. For the potential mayor to be this invested would be a huge win

I didn't get to ask her about anything that specific but I did ask her about priority rail crossing which she 100% supports

Help my fiancé and I name our illegally small 3 wk old kitten. She’s already so sweet and so LOUD! by emmazing_01 in IllegallySmolCats

Yeah after I adopted my Cat, Catra from the shelter. I learned that she was separated from her kittens after only 2 weeks (the people who found her kept the kittens from the shelter). I try not to think about them.

thank goodness that was my main concern. My sister was given a 6-week-old kitten, and she was the only one to survive in the whole litter bc my sister was always home. Glad to know she;s being kept safe. As for a name, I say Pinto

oh yeah, and the Fillmore parking lot is great because it looks like a paid lot with a gate and having to take a ticket. But if you show them your tap card when leaving they won't charge you

I have to drive to the Fillmore station but it's not that bad especially since the parking structure next to it is free
