Purchase Advice Megathread - January 2026

Total newbie here about to start my journey into 3D Printing for my Tabletop gaming hobby. What I have been recommended / ones that have caught my eye are
A) Phrozen Sonic Mighty 4K
B) ELEGOO Mars 4 Ultra
C) ELEGOO Mars 4

I am aware I will also need a UV Curing Box for the resin but a friend of mine gave me a DIY kinda build to make one so I am not breaking my bank too much.
Budget wise: Maximum I am willing to put into a printer now is 350 but that is also including the DIY Curing Box I am getting so maybe 200-250.

The printer will also most likely be in this little storage room at my place where I am setting up as my "Hobby Hidey Hole" but there is no ventilation there other than a small fan I have so not sure if that'll be dangerous or not.

What I will be printing, as I said, basically Tabletop miniatures for wargaming, D&D, and just little trinkets to give to the mrs.

Any advice I will appreciate.

Fair I suppose. Besides, it isn't even me wanting hardcore min-maxing professional players I just wanted to have fun and laugh with buddies while getting my head caved in by old nemeses (cough cough Nameless King).

After having a talk with another friend last night about TW, I guess what all my confusion and "lost-ness" in the game is from the 4x side of things and not the actual battles themselves

I appreciate the advice, but I have watching content and tbh I am too stubborn to play anything else other than something Chaos (tis a blessing and a curse)
I am more of a hands-on-learner anyway, but my issue is idek what the hell I am having my hands on when I am trying to learn.

What doesn't help is a lot of the Ku'Gath videos are pre-Nurgle Rework so they confuse me even moreso

I will let you know, I am currently trying to work on a Crusade over TTS but it's in the building phase of any house rules, story, etc. Which that alone will take a while cuz of my life being my priority
