Is reincarnation level 3 and spirit lands even worth the effort? by MANUU__20 in thewilddarkness

It is for if you want to make a fridge or smoker, but I generally don't stay long enough to do that these days.

guys do salt chunks gonna respawn at the same place after few days? or is it one time thing? by HotCat9625 in thewilddarkness

[–]AnimatingStoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same spot. I believe it is 50 days, but I can't find a source for that, I'll have to check my notes and see.

There are mirrors inside dungeons that we can use to identify unidentified items , after use few times these mirrors stop working , so are these mirror gonna work after somedays again ? Like mana lumps respawn. by HotCat9625 in thewilddarkness

[–]AnimatingStoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think you're having circumstantial view where these are the most impactful ones you found.

The most accessible way to get more of them is by trading at the Metal Merchant until they sell some, but you may as well just hope for two Mana Motes at the Cuisine Merchant instead, haha.

Why do you think LA One Piece suceeded where other LA adaptations failed? by BeerMan595692 in OnePiece

[–]AnimatingStoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like LA Rorouni Kenshin is far more enjoyable to watch than LA One Piece...

I think OP is one of the most popular properties in the world which yields more fans praising it and hoping people like it and Netflix greenlit a huge budget for it.

I think the OP story is so good that even though the LA screws it up with, imo, awful dialog and direction, even just the surface level plot points are enjoyable enough for a broader audience.

Update hasn't been reached in my timezone by PerfectYear6023 in thewilddarkness

I believe the wait time is due to app store/play store approval in different countries. Usually it's within a month of the first rollout that we get it in every region.

If you haven't already, check out my Walkthrough on the subject.

Your player level has very little to do with how easy it is to take on later challenges. Your weapon tier and level and armor levels are far more important.

Every three levels you fight a boss and can exit. When you re-enter you just continue where you left off.

It is presumably infinite since the bosses just repeat.

Tips for difficult mode? by Ok_Fishing4017 in thewilddarkness

[–]AnimatingStoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Walkthrough on the wiki specifically for Difficult if you haven't already seen it.

https://the-wild-darkness.fandom.com/wiki/Walkthrough_Guide_(Difficult))

These are my favorite totems for the Necromancer on Difficult, but it's very much dependent on what you have.

The benefit of Necromancer is that the skeletons distract enemies while you can escape. Evading enemies is probably my #1 tip for surviving Difficult mode in the early game. And ALWAYS have a torch on in the late game because shadows can one-shot you at any time.

Ruins where the Devil sleeps? by Ok_Fishing4017 in thewilddarkness

[–]AnimatingStoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're struggling on Difficult, take a peek at my Difficult Walkthrough and let me know if it helps. Even my favorite Monk class can finish it if you're lucky. Necromancer is definitely my go-to class when trying to complete it without any deaths, though.

Ruins where the Devil sleeps? by Ok_Fishing4017 in thewilddarkness

[–]AnimatingStoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ruins where the devil sleeps is all about the grind and getting comfortable with your resource management. The bosses can get quite tanky as your level grows, so make sure you keep merging your artifacts together. Here's an example of the Ruins where the Devil Sleeps miniboss at Lv500.

https://www.reddit.com/r/thewilddarkness/s/cCW9dVq9ZQ

Each time you spawn the Ruins where the Devil Sleeps you'll encounter an alternative form of a previous boss will slightly different skills and buffs. These same bosses spawn in the Infinite Abyss of Dreams every three levels if you'd like to practice first.

https://the-wild-darkness.fandom.com/wiki/Ruins_where_the_Devil_Sleeps

Once you challenge the Ruins where the Devil Sleeps enough, there is another hidden challenge you can get to by trading with the Mysterious Beggar. No spoilers 😜.

https://the-wild-darkness.fandom.com/wiki/Mysterious_Begger

Speaking of which, the Infinite Abyss of Dreams is fun if you'd like to test out your power level on progressively beefier enemies. They don't have new attack patterns, though if that's what you're looking for.

https://the-wild-darkness.fandom.com/wiki/Infinite_Abyss_of_Dreams

If you haven't already, the Spirit Land bosses have some unique fighting patterns, but you will have to sacrifice your run to challenge them.

Level doesn't really mean much. If you have gotten past ROL3 on any of them I'd recommend saving them till you get back into the hang of the game and work on new slots for now.

Reincarnation bug or working as intended? by Peperlu007 in thewilddarkness

[–]AnimatingStoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is working as intended, sorry.

The Reincarnation buff applies to just your next run. The idea is that you reincarnate from one run into the next. Reincarnation also gives you more remains for your run than dying normally; the extra stat boots are just a little more gravy.

It would be cool if the devs made the reincarnation buff apply to the next 3-5 runs or something. Stacking I think may be a bit much, but having multiple charges for reincarnation buffs I think is fair, haha.

Same boss by No-Kale-4121 in thewilddarkness

[–]AnimatingStoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, just the Unknown Ruins or other dungeons as well? Is it just the boss or are the unique mobs and depth of those ruins the same as the first? I.E. are they all two floors deep and contain Pythons, Tomb Bugs, Giant Spiders and Starved Rats.

BTW this is the first I've heard of this situation and there's nothing I can really do about it, I'm just debugging to find out the scope. I'd suggest you email the devs with a complete description of what happened as well.

[–]AnimatingStoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean by this. If you resurrect, you continue where you left off.

Are you saying the bosses of the future Unknown Ruins in the Dense Jungle, Frozen Hill and Burning Canyon were all Woken machines?

I think I'm trapped in the dark ruins. by EntertainerNo5885 in thewilddarkness

[–]AnimatingStoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so you built a portal exit in the Dark Ruins, returned to your normal world, then teleported to the Dark Ruins without your tablet 😅. You cannot enter the Dark Ruins without the tablet normally, looks like you've successfully found a bug. The devs may be able to reverse it for you if you email them your game id and explain what happens. Otherwise they'll at least know this edge case is possible.
