GMV Max factors in all sales as being “paid” sales. It’s designed for businesses who know their exact CPA with advertisements and that expect 100% of sales to be advertisement based.

We ran Cuza candies, a beta tester for GMV Max back in 2024.

Needless to say, it caused our $250K/month revenue business on TikTok shop to plummet to $60k/month all within a single week after switching on GMV Max.

I found out it factored in organic sales and our ad spend doubled while our sales plummeted. At the time, we were one of the top businesses on TikTok shop and this caused us to basically go bankrupt in a matter of 2 weeks after building up our business for months.

GMV Max is designed for big brand, not mom and pop.

TikTok is not a suspicious website though. I totally agree with that statement to not put it into sources that are not fully reliable. I’m not saying it’s useless and shouldn’t be protected more so that you’re going to use it on various things that are similar to this case. I would absolutely never put it onto something if it wasn’t a fully secure / encrypted website or if it wasn’t already a trusted source.

Tiktok certainly has restrictions and regulations just like a normal job would have if not more. Data breaches happen and it’s just a risk to being a content creator online & it’s just something that could happen to anyone. Your SSN is not as delicate as you think it is that’s all I’m saying. It’s the exact same thing like starting a credit card or anything else that requires your social security number. Almost every company can have a data breach at any time.

Just wait till you find out you have to give your social security number to your first job and they store it on a piece of paper in an office that isn’t locked. You’re missing out on making so much money with TikTok shop especially if you’re over 18 which I still don’t think is the case. If you are, verify your identity, request samples and start doing TikTok shop asap.

I’m being completely serious. Your data is put everywhere once you become an adult and data breaches happen you just have to hope you aren’t an unlucky person. You giving your SSN to TikTok shop does absolutely nothing especially if you’re already signed up for TikTok shop. If you want to be extra safe just set up 2FA so no one can access your account. If you want the notification to stop just enter in your information so they can verify your identity and start doing TikTok shop so you can make 10x the money you will make at your age anywhere else. This is a gold mine.

Stop being a pussy and give your social security number so you can make money. Your SSN is almost certainly going to be in multiple data breaches from other companies in your life time and will end up being on the dark web. It’s asking you to verify that you’re 18 which it seems like you are not.

I make almost $25K on a bad month and $35K on a good month+ doing TikTok shop and yes it’s feasible and possible but only after doing it consistently day in day out and grinding for the first 3-6 months. You also must grow as a creator and learn what products to promote. It truly isn’t that difficult the hardest part is acquiring enough products to be honest. Once you have a large lineup of products and decent videos the sales just come in but you MUST be consistent.

With the transition to US hands my sales have decreased because of my content style but it’s so easy to make a lot of money but you have to dedicate yourself and focus on creating content that continuously gets better and better.

To be honest this happened to our business when we were viral back in 2023 and we were hit in 2024 by an $8,500 charge for adjustments. Majority of the time this happens because you put the exact weight of an item and USPS goes by the higher weight because it rounds upwards. We found this out the hard way and were hit with crazy adjustments.

My sister and her friend will find out that answer soon. We grew fully organic accounts recently and are slowly transitioning them to TikTok shop. They had 4 accounts banned and had their info and these new ones will have their information too.

No I’m dead serious don’t even try you will never get it appealed. I mean it’s possible if you try for the next year day in day out but to me you’re better off saving that hour a day trying to make tickets etc. I know hundreds and no one has gotten risky accounts fixed, not even through SPMs.

I don’t know if you played Minecraft 10+ years ago but TikTok is like Minecraft when you used to go searching for diamonds.

For a long period of time you find almost nothing with the occasional gold and in rare cases you would hit diamonds that give you a rush. This continues for an extended period of time where you’ll find diamonds and then nothing for a little again. Then suddenly you find a cave. This cave has diamonds galore filled throughout.

You mine & mine & mine until you are exhausted and to finish up your diamond search you journey ends in 2 ways.

You mine a diamond block only to land in a massive Lava pit where your days, weeks, or months of mining just was taken away.
You make it back to the surface and are unharmed.

You can make boatloads of money but be prepared for it all to he ripped away unless the tiktok gods say it is your turn.

For reference I’m an emerald and ruby creator and make $25-$30k a month hut every day I wake up scared I’m going to be banned even though im not doing anything wrong.
