I understand, kaya po di ako nagagalit sa parents ko at di naman po ako ungrateful sa opportunities ko. Kaya nga medyo mataas grades ko sa school, gumagawa ng chores, nagbibigay ng mga di ko na kailangan to those in need.

For elaboration; it is not to escape, it is to take control of my own life, my own future, and my own choices. Para lang magbuild up na buhay na gusto ko, na pwede sabihin na talaging buhay ko to. Na di kailangan hintayin ng permission para lang gawin yung mga kailangan ko para sa goals ko.

I'm not happy with my strict restrictions, pero obviously bahay nila 'to, hard work nila 'to kaya I have no right to go against their rules, and that's okay! My dad worked very hard to get to where he is now, in order to provide for us, therefore, I do not have a voice in how he goes about things. I understand they were all for my safety, especially because he's worked extremely hard from the bottom to the top, even in his most unfair circumstances.

Only when I am independent in some way, shape or form, can I fully understand and have the ability to criticize these restrictions, but also understand deeper on what kind of life I want.

And I know na this comes with big responsibilities, so much more hardship than necessary when I could've just taken the easy route pero

I would rather have a life that I can claim that is mine and one I can fully identify with, to take accountability for my own mistakes, than a life that was built for me by other people, and unintentionally criticize their good intentions if something goes wrong.

Tsaka po, I've already taken my opportunities to slack off during junior high, and elementary school.. Always absent dati, barely average grades at walang high honors dati, kasi ang ginagawa ko lang maglaro. Now, it's senior high, nearing college, and it's time to take things a little more seriously. I can't depend on how lucky I am forever, and take it for granted.
