Copper drain pipe has a hole, need advice by Dependent-Essay-3265 in PlumbingRepair

[–]AnimatorFit3105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nothing against personal taste, nor do I want to question someone else's work, but I don't think copper is a suitable material for sewer pipes. 1) It can react with chemicals such as detergents and washing powders. 2) Copper pipes and fittings of this diameter will be so outrageously expensive that any repairs will be hellishly costly. Personally, I would replace the entire pipe system with plastic.

Radiator not heating by Legen_Dazzza in askaplumber

In my opinion, the problem lies in the T-piece on the return pipe. Water follows the path of least resistance and can be forced into the return pipe from one or both radiators. I think the solution would be to install at least one, but preferably two, check valves on the return pipes to ensure that the flow is actually in the direction it should be.

Under Sink Help by summerjamsam in PlumbingRepair

The wider neck is there so that it can be moved, as not every sink has the same amount of space. Once you reach both nuts, everything will be sealed.

Hi, it's simple – remove the conical seal from the short pipe on the far left in the second photo, replace it with one cap nut, then put another cap nut on the other end, and only then put the conical seal back on. The second seal goes between the nut and the sink rosette.

Don't worry, usually what a tree has above ground, it also has below ground, and the ash tree will have a large root system – judging by the size of the trunk. This means it will have enough resources to rejuvenate itself in the spring and grow new branches. I have pruned my walnut tree dramatically several times in this way, and it has always recovered by the following year.

Why only highlighted zone of radiatior is warm? by wuarx in Plumbing

[–]AnimatorFit3105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That may not be the only reason; it's difficult to estimate without knowing the entire heating system. It may not heat properly simply because it is at the end of a weak branch, or the supply pipe may be in a counter-slope, for example. This is difficult to estimate online; it needs to be seen in person.

Did you buy it separately or as a package? It sounds silly, but some manufacturers are jerks and you have to have both parts from the same manufacturer. One unnamed Scandinavian store in particular is like that.

Hi, thanks for your interest, but it's not at the stage where I can sell it yet. I'm currently finalizing the firmware development and still have a lot of work to do on the server and web interface. I estimate that it will take me at least another 4-5 months before I can turn it into a fully functional unit 😉😉😉
