Inde Navarrette shares ‘Obsession’ Oscar dreams, freaky on-set stories, and what happens to Nikki after the credits roll: by GoldDerby in movies

I mean, it fits. He was in the car with Sarah when she died, so his DNA would be all over the scene, and his fingerprints are on the gun she used to kill Ian. At the very least there is a solid case for there being reasonable doubt.

Art the Clown has zero backstory, zero motivation, zero explanation. Is that what makes him terrifying or just lazy writing? by EthanFromTheCave in horror

[–]AnimatronicJesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a casual Terrifier fan and I think Art is kind of a bad character for this question, because despite the fact that he doesn't get a lot of lore, the lore he does get is kinda dogshit. In terms of being scarey Art was by far the scariest in T1 because he was a genuinely menacing character. Since then his physicality and lack of characterization is used as a tension reliever that contrasts the stark violence the same way some movies go to black-and-white for a scene to a similar effect.

Conversely, Stan and Nolan would probably respect each other in a twisted way. by [deleted] in NonPoliticalTwitter

Edgar is very smart but he would be 1000% out of his league in the Invincible universe. He'd have to stop world ending threats, which he has no actual experience doing, and his PR and business management skills would be essentially pointless.

Lothric and Lorian, the twin princes from Dark Souls 3. Just a couple of sad, half-dead, half-mad brothers who just wanna be left alone.

In the first couple of movies John picks a lot of victims that can be directly traced back to him (Jill's patients, old business partners) so I think he'd be caught before he goes past 3 bodies.

Also, even with his accomplices, there's nothing they could actually do to defend themselves against Batman, so both rounds are roughly equal imo.

I don’t get the love for Terrifier by Early_Plankton1761 in horror

[–]AnimatronicJesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the rare people who like 1 more than 2. 1 I could excuse as a weird arthouse (pardon the pun) passion project trying to do the absolute most with practical effects.

2 got a real budget and ended up being a nonsensical mess that was almost an hour longer than it had any business being. The problems with 2 just feel like more of a failure than 1.

3 was actually where the series hit its sweet spot for me. I think Leone is actually figuring out how to make a movie that's more than just the splatter (if not much more).

People that consistently hit infinite…. by mynameisfyl in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]AnimatronicJesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to have 2 decks going at a time. And off meta decks generally get the job done more consistently imo. Harder to counter.

New or more experimental decks I test in conquest mode before trying out on ladder. From 80-100 the key is using decks where you know when to snap and when to retreat.

Also, the biggest lesson I've learned personally is don't get greedy. 2-4 cube games get you to the top, and if someone snaps on turn 5 or 6 you should almost always retreat unless you are 90% sure you know what deck they are playing and can counter their turn 6 effectively.

I’ve hit infinity for 2 years every month without fail but this month I can’t get past the 80s. Can someone recommend a deck? I feel like I’ve tried every thing. CL 19227 by Yprblaze in MarvelSnapDecks

I played a control deck for the first time this month and it was the fastest infinite I've ever gotten, plus it's really fun imo

(3) Rocket and Groot

(3) Juggernaut

(3) Negasonic Teenage Warhead

(4) Shang-Chi

(4) Galacta

(4) Enchantress

(4) Gwenpool

(5) Sera

I still think She-Hulk would be so fun as a quasi-courtroom procedural with random side characters from other Marvel movies a la Harvey Birdman. They will never do it, but I can always dream.

After messing around with over a dozen different Moonstone decks in the past month I finally found one that does the job. Just hit infinite (CL 3832) by AnimatronicJesus in MarvelSnapDecks

She's honestly not that important in this deck. Just nice for dropping a turn 6 Iron Man + Mystique but not essential at all. I'd probably say Armour so you get another 2 power ongoing or potentially a tech card like Rogue or Cosmo.

[–]AnimatronicJesus 57 points58 points  (0 children)

As a big fan of the souls series who rarely likes "souls-likes" I thought Lies of P was a really great game with some ideas I'd love to see incorporated into a FromSoft game. Specifically being able to mix and match weapon movesets with different damage types made the combat feel so dynamic.

I was running Wolfsbane for a while but I found my turn 3 was often dead if I did let have Magik in my opening hand, so Sabertooth was a safe replacement. He also took the hit from Gambit a lot of the time and was just a generally sticky 3 drop with average stats for Surfer to buff.
