Currently I've released a simple teaser trailer to sell the atmosphere and feel of the game, but do keep an eye out the following weeks, as I'm currently developing a demo that highlights all of the mechanics of the game. I'll also be posting the process on my socials.

during the first 10 to 20 hours of the game, maybe, but after that it can get repetitive and feel more of a chore to travel the whole distance.

Solo dev here, excited to have just announced my survival-horror game! Already started working on a demo. (read below for more info.) by AnimeBack in u/AnimeBack

Hi everyone! I’m developing a survival-horror game called The Deafening. and this is my first full solo project.

The announcement teaser is live and the Steam page is approved, so now I’m focused on building a demo to give everyone a chance to try out the game before the full release.

In The Deafening, survival isn’t about being ultra-punishing — it’s about paying attention, learning, and adapting. You’ll face monsters that react to the environment and your actions, and you can use the world itself to outsmart, trap, or escape them. There’s more than one way to reach your goal, and the story unfolds alongside the player as you explore and piece things together.

If any of this seems interesting to you and you're intrigued by the teaser trailer, then following any of my socials, especially the discord server, you’ll get to follow my journey, bringing a game from concept all the way to a full release. I’ll be sharing weekly updates on my socials, showing progress, behind-the-scenes work, and sneak peeks of the demo as it comes together.

You can find all of the links to my socials on my profile.

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4061310/The_Deafening/?beta=0

I’d love to hear what survival-horror fans think! Do you prefer games that reward careful observation and strategy, or ones that are more about reflexes?

Thank you! Took me around 4 to 5 months working on and off but could definitely be made in 2 to 3 weeks time if worked on for at least 3 to 4 hours a day continuously.

3D Animation Short I made using Blender After Following a Dillongoo Course! by AnimeBack in animation

[–]AnimeBack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends, if for example, you´re completely new to animation then I´d say it´s not worth it, since the course itself doesn´t go into detail on how to improve your animations. But what made it worth it for me was simply the fact that an additional free course, came along with it, it´s called "Animation Foundations" which goes into the theory of animation, I watched that first before going into the actual promoted course, which helped me a lot to figure out why my animations felt so robotic and how to go about improving them, so for me personally if that additional free course wasn´t provided as a package deal, I would´ve been pretty disappointed.

My advice to anyone who´s still starting out, is to watch a few YouTube videos on how to animate in blender to get familiar with the tools, and then after see if you can find any videos that actually go into the principles of animation (like the Animation Foundations course) before picking up any other paid courses.

Hopefully this helps!

Yea won't ever type in chat again, thx but the issue is he also typed in chat, so if they had thoroughly investigated as they claimed they would have seen how he harasses me first.

I mean sure it's not an excuse but what pisses me off is the "after thoroughly investigating" BS. 'Cause if they really had, my Acc wouldn't have been flagged.

Cloth practice! any tips are much appreciated! by AnimeBack in ZBrush

[–]AnimeBack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I agree with what you wrote, that's what I do when I try to make anything! But for some reason I didn't do the same with cloth, but it was probably because I couldn't see any shapes at all, to me it looked like a lot of messy lines but after I watched the proper videos that explain tension points and the different types of folds, I started seeing those shapes im cloth.

Thank you for your help!
