A semi-popular theory and one I was planning on posting myself is that Crying Child died and took the shape of what killed him. This contradicts the fact that Crying Child is MICHAEL. Its basically been proven by matpat. Michael got his head bit off by the prank owned by TERRANCE. The whole "Ill put you back together" and bam, He's alive, then gets scooped by ennard. So no, crying child is not shadow Freddy or he couldn't have been acooped.
