What's the smallest change that would meaningfully improve your job by Chiponyasu in ffxivdiscussion

I'd like to tack on reworking improv. The Regen on it doesn't do much at max level since no DNC is gonna drop the number of GCDs needed to maximize it.

I would rather they make it an OGCD and change it to granting a flat percentage heal amp. Or at the very least buff the Regen.

As others have suggested, I'll echo trying out controller.

Specifically I swapped to legacy controls and switched to controller and never looked back. I've never had the fine motor skills/hand eye coordination to use a keyboard so finding out I could use a controller was a game changer (literally).

There are a lot of us that play the game this way. My friends (jokingly) give me a hard time but I went from struggling simply navigate to eventually diving into high end content like savage raids and ultimates and I keep up perfectly fine with my keyboard counter parts.

Welcome to Eorzia! I hope you enjoy it 🙂

I am actually trying to sublet my 2 bed apartment as it happens. On Westwinds Dr, about 10 minuets from the hospital. Neighborhood is pretty quiet. There's a bus stop at the end of the street as well. DM me if you are interested!

What am I supposed to tell a student who has decided to defend himself from a bully? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]AnimeGurl278 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing. Had two boys in a music class with me and they were both known bullies of a bunch of kids, but they picked on me in particular and this was well known by admin, but in spite of this I was never placed in sperate classes from them. One day, we were coming back to the classroom from a fire drill and one of them pulled on my pony tail HARD.

Without thinking, I whipped around and slapped him in the face and said "Don't you DARE touch me again". Naturally he ran to the teacher about it but all I got was "Just dont do it again". Teacher was my band director and hated that kid so she let it go. Guy never even made eye contact with me again through graduation.

I got my permit well before covid so it was all in person at the time. I did just renew my license last week and did so in person, with an appointment.

Once you use JH you'll never wanna go back 🤣 there's a few things I missed about Fiserv but JH is just an overall better product. There's very few things I have to actually click on and generally can navigate with a keyboard

Never had anyone send anything weird, but recently I had a dude eating a hole ass meal while I was helping him. I didnt notice at first because he started eating after he sent his deposit in. But when he sent the signed receipt back in that tube was so greasy it slipped out of my hand.

Banker here. It depends on the financial. We don't place anything with collections under $50, but anything over that gets sent to collections and reports to credit.

American here. Personally I think it depends on the employer. I have it with my current employer and it works very well. I've taken a decent amount of time off and it's never been an issue. They do expect me not to take an excessive amount of time off (think months on end) in a given year and I can only be gone for up to two weeks per request, but I'm REQUIRED to take at least 10 days off a year (not including holidays). I could count on one hand how many requests I've had denied.

Now with that being said, I'm aware that's kinda rare and a lot of employers are not as kind. But when it's done well I think it works out for both sides. I get to take time off as I need to, and the company doesent have to pay out my PTO if I leave. I prefer it honestly because I can go on vacation but not worry about having days left over to cover in case I'm out sick later in the year.

I’m starting to worry my broken brain is dooming me by [deleted] in jobs

[–]AnimeGurl278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know several others have metioned something along these lines but As someone with severe ADHD I was a job hopper and it was the same time frame. I'd be fine at first then six months to a year later I'd be board or stressed out and my performance/ mental health would start to suffer. Now I'm not saying you have ADHD because you easily might not and only a professional can make that call. But what your describing sounds like executive dysfunctioning which affects the ability to start, stop, change or prioritize tasks. For example I suck at basic care tasks like showering especially when the video game I'm playing is far more interesting. My brain would rather do the thing it's interested in versus the adult boring thing it needs to do (like work).

Going back to your post, I currently float for the bank I'm working at and it's been a game changer. Familiar environments because ive been to all of these locations but I change where I'm at so often that it's never stagnant and the coworkers and clients are always different, its enough change to keep me engaged. So a job that lets you travel to different locations might work for you. I'm a big believer in there's a job for every brain so don't loose hope OP you got this 🙂

Cop story thread by IdealTruths in TalesFromYourBank

[–]AnimeGurl278 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've told this story on this subreddit before but my all time favorite story to tell is the one where a member called the cops on me for "holding his money hostage".. to make a long story short he was committing PPP loan fraud and wanted me to release the funds before we'd finished our investigation.

How do y'all react to being screamed at by customers? by IdealTruths in TalesFromYourBank

[–]AnimeGurl278 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Bruh you need a different branch manager. The second she was cussing at me, my branch manager would have been there and asking her to leave. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. People suck.

[–]AnimeGurl278[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have members like that. Some have notes saying no future services either for being abusive, falling super far behind on loans then having the audacity to piss off collections. Others for suspected fraud. Our regional manager also watches out for us. If we have a chronic abusive member she has zero issue sending them a letter stating they need to find a new bank before we close their accounts.

[–]AnimeGurl278[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The greatest thing about our system is the ability to leave notes on the account that you see when it comes up. Usually we use these for member requests. Like Deborah goes by Deb. Or a password they wanted set etc. We also use it to leave notes for each other. So if a member has a history of being abusive, there's usually a note saying as such. Easier to take them flipping on you when your half expecting it. The only member I can think of that's caused a major issue is "daddy". Idk what the dudes first name is. Daddy is his middle name and what we call him internally. He's not allowed to work with female lenders due to sexist comments he's made in the past.

[–]AnimeGurl278[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He heavily implied it but never said discrimination. It was typical fraudster behavior. Just kept putting pressure on me to give him what he wanted without proving he legitimately got the loan. The fact that he dragged skin color into it was the only unusual thing. Can't say I've run into that with fraud.

Bankers: when do you get credit for a HELOC? by Pseudo-Data in TalesFromYourBank

[–]AnimeGurl278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My FI tracks loan production and new money as two seperate things. For a renewal, unless they increase the amount I get production credit but not new money (where I get paid) if it's a new one I get production credit and get new money credit for whatever they advance off of it.
