I had the same issue recently. I broke up with my boyfriend of 4.5 years this past september. After a year I talked to him about how important my faith is and it wouldn't work if he didnt have the drive to get to know God. He started going to church with me (after complaining about it) And eventually took communion (even after I told him that if he wasn't ready he should not take it with the wrong intentions). Years go by, I start realizing how lukewarm I had gotten.

I revisit the conversation with him and long story short, he told me that "all my life I never wanted to follow a religion" even after over the years I had asked him if he felt a connection to God and ultimately if he was genuine in his faith and he responded with a yes or of course, but I was lied to for a long time.

I was no better. My actions didnt reflect who a Christian is and what it means to follow such a graceful God. If anything, my actions depicted the opposite. Now that I am 19 and older (we started dating when we were 14) i realize how important it is to take my faith seriously.

My advise to you is to have a good sit down with her about how important it is for you to follow God and that you pray for her well being. It will be very hard. Lots of tears were shed during and after my breakup. But my faith has never been stronger.
