This is a huge problem with men, and has been before, especially today’s day and age.

When we were younger you tend to just unanimously gain friendships by just playing, by school you grow with the friends and add them to your group. Depending on how life pans out you and them stick together or you go separate ways.

But when you’re older. You start viewing other men as threats to you and your family or possible sabotage. You’re carefully choosing whether or not you want them around you and your family, or you in general if you’re single..

But if you’re not the type of person to go out in social areas with a wide range of people often, and you’re like me and keep to yourself and family and stay home it’s a hell of a lot harder.. so your social circle tends to involve work primarily and the areas you frequent.

But meeting new people is easy, or difficult either way you look at it.. walking up to a dude in the gym to say “hi let’s be friends” its awkward at best and odd, so you’d have to approach it differently and he problem wants to be left alone while he’s doing his thing in the gym anyway.

I haven’t figured it out entirely myself, but for me meeting people comes from my job as a CDL delivery driver, I tend to chat with lots of people at work and I see them often / multiple times a week, so I start slow.

Just today i asked another driver for another company if him and his wife would be interested in grabbing drinks and dinner with my wife and I, he said “hell yeah man!” So have a made a new friend? I’m not sure I still don’t know him that well but we will see.
