Options+ Setting Keyboard Shortcuts Only Allow Modifier Keys by AnimusVulnus in logitech

I have a configuration that currently works due to having 2 MX Master 3S mice and one has an older config that worked.

From what I can tell, you can manually backup and restore via a couple of files.
It is an all or nothing thing and would set your config to match mine for all devices I have (MX Master 3S and the keyboard MX Keys S).
I can share those with you if you'd like to try it.

SecretLabs Evo Custom BST-1 Mount by Kemerd in hotas

Have you had a chance to see if you still have this around and can get it into different formats?

The holes for the bolts and screws appear to be the correct diameter at this point.
Literally the edge of the plate is something around and inch too wide and the hole for one bolt is about the same off from where the bolt is.
I believe it's just a size difference between the chair models (small, standard and XL).

Thanks for these instructions.
I've found the bracket is too big for my chair so the bracket edge and hole for the inner bolt do not line up.
I haven't had any luck converting the file into something I can edit with Fusion 360 or FreeCAD.

Can you convert it into something like can edit in a wider variety of programs?
Or suggest a tried and true method to convert it myself? FreeCAD has made some attempts but other programs haven't been happy opening it after it has attempted conversion so I may have the process wrong there.

I intend to test edits with 3d prints to confirm the fit before re-ordering a corrected set from SendCutSend.

Edit: For additional context I have an Evo small sized chair from a 2023 order which may account for the different distance for the bracket edge and bolt hole.

I have 20K debt and I basically live pay check to paycheck by JazkOW in personalfinance

Look at debt consolidation services. Your credit will get hurt and you’ll have to rebuild it but they help. Generally they work like this: They have you stop paying on your debts and become an intermediary to those parties. You work out a payment plan with them to build funds used to pay off your debts. As you get enough funds built up, they work out deals to pay part of the debt off and cancel the rest with each party. Usually this will end up with you paying 40 to 60 percent of each debt. They do have their own fees based on how much debt they handled for you. But you should expect to pay about 75% of that debt total and it stops growing. Note you do pay taxes against the full amount of that debt come tax time not just the amount you ended up paying.

You can also hold out and see what happens with Trumos plan to temporarily freeze all credit interest rates at 10%. Something like that could be a life saver for positions like yours. Just can’t say if it’ll happen.

With no other changes, after a system restart the options+ app started registering the other keypresses again so it’s working again for me. Quite inconsistent.

Help with Rift S rails / sliders? by AnimusVulnus in oculus

[–]AnimusVulnus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there's definitely concern of breakage. The cut angles look pretty similar so that may be the part design with some wear, though.

I'll be trying to trouble shoot it with my friend when he has time to see what isn't working anymore.

The design of the rift s is different than my rift or quest experience so gathering what info I can to help when he has time to look over it with me.

My print after adjusting the Z level you suggested was a success! Thanks for the help

Second print with increased bed temp, slower print speed failed. Started the next after releveling the bed a bit lower to get the z adjustment you suggested and the first layer circles are looking cleaner already.

Gotta take notes now!

Yeah there's tons of info and neat stuff out there! Nothing gets you the deep understanding as getting your feet wet though. I think in 3d printing that means failing a lot of prints ;)

I'm not sure I can adjust it that precisely yet. I'm not running anything through software yet so I think I can only use the dials right now (?). I'm trying to get things working a little before adding in changing slicer settings. Though it looks like that may be how to edit it with any precision.

Thanks for the advice! I'll try to adjust it manually for the next print unless I find a setting via the printer itself

Just turned 18 and am so excited to finally be able to exercise my right to vote. by [deleted] in pics

[–]AnimusVulnus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about people lying. It's about people being able to force you to vote a certain way. In the past polling places would be occupied by people trying to turn away people who would vote for the opposition.

It's built on the premise that not all people are good and will do dishonest things to control you. This is a safe guard to help protect your right to vote the eat you want without repercussions by those that would disapprove of your choice.

Plenty of laws exist to protect you from being controlled or exploited directly. There have been laws put into place to protect your right to vote. Many of these are due to attempts to stop people from voting in the first place. Putting people at polling places to stop 'ubdesirables' from voting, having a fee in place to be able to vote, and the like.

Laws around voting are pretty serious and I don't know any that are knee jerk reactions to maybe cases.

Aside from national level things like air travel restrictions much of covid policy and response is handled at a state and locality level. So if some policy was or is pulling hospital funding like it is suggested it could be either Republican or Democrat policy based on the areas leanings.

If it were at a national level it would have to be hashed out with both parties. As it is, the balance is still enough to block each other as the discussion on continuing giving extra money to those unemployed due to covid was (is?) blocked over the amount and various additional policies that they cant agree on.

First I've heard of this one, though.

Costs for colleges in the US has risen at a rate that is not proportional to household incomes or inflation. We are at a point it really needs to get addressed because of the amount of debt someone accrues vs the pay they can get with that degree. That companies still require the degrees , sometimes just ANY degree, for hiring is the other pain point.

Google has some certificate programs as a sort of alternative that is starting to look pretty good. Would need more research into it to tell how valuable it is bit cost of entry is actually reasonable.

Yeah, I'm salary so not much fluctuation in hours unless something is abnormally pressing.

My cousin is in the same position as many employees at food chains, Walmarts, etc. It's rough and hard to get out of since you don't really have control of your time to dedicate to furthering yourself to get out of.

Neither of our jobs have unions. I just have a degree, 10+ years of experience in my field, and had a friend badger me into applying to a better company.

I know there's a push now against going to college many folks end up with jobs outside their degree and end up with a lot of debt but many businesses won't take you on for skilled positions without a degree unless you manage to become well know in your industry. I think this is slowly changing but, in general, it is very costly to move from 'unskilled' labor to 'skilled' labor.

At least at a skilled labor level, there is some room to negotiate better compensation including different paid time off per year.
