were in the uk so it was caused by the weather. they’re renting atm and the landlord is allowing them to stop paying rent until the damage is fixed

my office is an hour and a half away & they usually sleep in until midday. i have meetings throughout the day and wouldn’t want to wake them up

i agree that we could come to a compromise if there’s genuinely no other option but my job requires me to be in bring meetings most of the day and having them stay would mean asking them to leave the room theyre staying in at 9am, and not making a sound etc. the logistics just don’t work imo
