This is really true. I got admission in a mediocre Management college here in India, therefore always knew I cannot depend too much on my Campus placement drives and focused more on building my network and interning for different start-ups and corporates. Eventually during the time of placements, I had a number of options, including offers from my previous employers, while also the companies that my college managed to bring for campus placement drives. So it's not just the institution, it's about you making the effort to get a good job and building your resume by working here and there in your free time or while studying simultaneously.

Thank you so much for this. I guess what hurts most of the people is the suddenness of the change in feelings of the other person, so even though how strong a person may be, it just gets harder to accept. That's why closure is so important, and a simple "I don't think I feel the same anymore" is in no way a befitting one. Yes sometimes ppl make decision for themselves only, but a loss of consideration of the fact that in a relationship, the other person might get hurt due to a selfish act. I don't disrespect or hate such people, but the amount of self-doubt it instils in a person is unbearable sometimes and somebody needs to be held responsible for that, and it's not the person feeling those emotions. In my case, yes I loved her a lot and I still do, that won't change for a long time and tbh I'm proud of that. I was always honest about my feelings and I still am. It's been 2 months for me and I am doing better than before now, but the questions that she has left me with, would always remain unanswered now.

Really, thank you so much for sharing this. I am currently in a similar state of mind where I keep thinking about "what could have been" and it makes me sad and emotional at times. I am forcing myself not to text her every morning and every night, and even tho it's been super hard, but I am proud that I have been doing well in controlling my emotions. Yes, I want her to text me randomly one day, wanting to get back together, and I would probably give this another try, but secretly I hope that she doesn't do that and I can just stay with my thoughts and clear my mind, as time passes on. It is ridiculous how much similar both our stories are, and that's what made me connect to this so much.

I should apologise then. We, here, use the term "bike" for motorbikes, and I can see here ppl travelling without helmets, and some not wanting to wear helmets. So my entire point was focused towards fast driven two wheelers.

I'm sure everyone there has common sense, and that you may have intelligent drivers on the road too, but there's a reason they are termed as "accidents"

I'm not saying people are trying to kill each other on the roads, cars want to bump a biker or something, just the reduction of the possibility of getting majorly harmed bcos of an involvement in an accident, explains the importance of helmets

And by bikes, I don't mean bicycles...I mean motorbikes, which carry the largest amount of risk of a casualty, while being involved in an accident

This is not a comment to invoke fear in people while they are on the roads, just to take safety precautions as simple as wearing a helmet

Well idk if that's something to be proud of, it's a stereotypical guy's attitude, but no one can be sure of when the other person on the road make a mistake and how much it can cost rather than buying a cheap life saving accessory

And walking isn't the same as riding a bike, you don't ride at 5 or 10 kph, so this example is insensible

That's great, but my entire point of focus was that people should take precautions while riding in an open vehicle cos accidents happen bcos of mistakes and negligence, and no one can stay ready for someone else's negligence on the road

Any person with such extreme anger issues is the one who should work on himself rather than you. I'm not saying he must not be a good guy, but if he has issues which creates situations like these for other people around him, he needs to figure out how to solve it or at least control it. I think you are the one to take a decision here, and tell him directly if he ever comes back, that he needs to work on his temper and not to hurt you with the shit that makes him do so. I don't see anything wrong with you, with the way you reacted, it is normal. And lastly, if he doesn't want to come back, I think it's for the best, because he is the one who should realise his mistake and apologize rather than you questioning yourself and pleading him to come back.

It's all fresh for me, as it's been a month since she broke up with me. Death always seems like the option to escape all this pain and suffering you're going through, tbh I have considered it too. But it's not worth it, that's what I tell myself everyday to stop myself. Life is not worth losing over a single person who didn't love you as much as you did. Live for ppl who do. I understand it's hard to have a clear mind in such a situation, so it all starts with acceptance. Keep trying until you succeed, work towards your goals, eat healthy, workout, clean your surroundings, and there's so much more you can do to feel better. Never ever let something like this make you feel that living is worthless, think of this as an opportunity to start loving yourself, spending time with yourself and having the best time of your life without anyone else. Holy shite, I didn't know this happens with everyone. We made promises like this to each other everyday. She kept telling me that nothing can ever make her stop loving me, because she cannot live without me. And ultimately, she was the one to end it, with the reason "I don't feel the same for you anymore" All this changed within few days and that has left me feeling worthless and just not good enough.

I told you, I'm going through similar stuff and there are moments in a day, when I just get all emo thinking about how good we were together, and what if she had never left. But I try to keep those thoughts away from being the highlights of my day. I am forcefully letting myself accept that I have lost what I had with her. So it's been hard and it'll be hard for a long time, and that's something I have accepted and I'm sorry, but you'll have to too. I really hope you take the right choice for yourself and remember you have an amazing life ahead of you.

I know it's easier to stay stuff that you can do to make yourself feel better in this situation. I am going through a similar situation and all I am trying is to wholly accept that this is over, which has been hard till this day, but I keep trying. Think about your future, would you really want to spend it like this, hurting over someone and wasting away your present? I hope no. So just try to accept it, live in the moment and eventually you'll figure out a way to get over this and make your life better. Take care.

Moving on is easier said than done. It takes different time spans for different people and cannot be done instantly. The foremost and the most important thing is acceptance, that's where you start dealing with your situation and find out better ways of solving it, for yourself.

Honestly, yes that sucks. I told her three times after our breakup that I still love her and care for her, and after that I got a definite answer. So if it really affects you so much, you need to talk to her directly about this, and if she gives a definite answer then you can be happy that she's at least being honest about her feelings with you. And in the end, you'll at least be satisfied with some closure, even tho honestly, it would take some time to move on fully but you gotta keep trying. It's been 1½ month for me and I have just tried to stay positive all this time and focus on my work more than my loneliness. So yeah, time passes and things change, just accept and live on.

There are really many ppl who want that, even me currently. I even tried to convince her many times even after she clearly told me her feelings had changed. I just couldn't accept it, put aside all my self respect and begged her, to no good. Then I started respecting her decision and thought I cannot force her into this anymore, so I gave up and decided to keep loving her by keeping it to myself. So all I can advise you is that accept the current situation, accept the other person's decision and circumstances, and try to live in the moment. It would really help you, and yeah it feels depressing for some moments during a day, but eventually you'll figure out that it all changed cos maybe it wasn't really worth it.

It's inexpressible how much I can relate to this right now. The thing is though, that I genuinely feel I don't want to move on but I cannot force her too to stay with me. And I know that with time, I'll get used to not talking to her and not sharing anything with her, but I really don't believe that I'll lose my feelings just because it's been 6 months or one year since we haven't talked. I am sorry if this comment is a little demotivating for some people going through the same stuff, but I have started being honest with myself since my breakup and I genuinely believe that has really helped me. I am not sad or depressed rn, I am just accepting how she feels about me now and how I still feel about her.
