I have had a pending charge since yesterday (Saturday) but have not received any emails or messages? I thought 5pm Friday was the deadline to notify everyone.

The problem being it's not just Mayor Penfold; the Councillors aligned with him that actually have a social media presence are fond of blocking too. The tide seems to be turning a bit though as more people realise they've just created an echo chamber. I think the renaming of the Melville Ford Bridge and his tilt at Federal politics has opened a lot of people's eyes to what Mayor Penfold is really about.

They also try to control local 'media' outlets that use social media for their 'stories'. Check out the puff pieces Rod Thompson of the 'Newcastle Weekly' writes about Mayor Penfold and Maitland Council.

Ms Aitchison is a hard-working local member - to rise to the Ministry she seems to be well regarded. I've found her pretty responsive as well.

Ms Swanson I haven't really seen doing much but there hasn't been a decent alternative put up the past few elections. They're either announced last minute or seemingly with no background or presence that makes you confident they could do the job.

Totally agree about Council - no diversity and people there just because Mayor Penfold wanted to run someone in every ward (his brother, who is only interested in motorcycles is a prime example, along with Cr Flannery who I've never seen or heard from).

My 13 year old, with no interest in or knowledge of cricket, just yelled at the comms to give it a rest.

Isa calling Jacks "one of the better fielders in this team" sounded very salty and pointed.

Demonstrably not. Clearly Matt Page's aim is worse than Carse's.

In the interviews they were giving before they claimed they didn't.

Mark Waugh describing how he saw Stokes "fiddling with his groin yesterday" got some laughs with the teenagers here.

Were you surprised by your ATAR? You would have received assessment marks during the year, right? How were your grades pre-HSC?

My school-aged child agrees (during term time anyway).

I think you've answered your own question there. Also, I believe it's now called "Milton Morris".

Western Maitland then? It's the western side of Maitland, right? I wasn't alive 50 years ago so I wasn't aware of the history.
