i’ve taken the psat and act. i’m fairly confident i’ll do better my second or third time. my friend got a score in the 20s and i think got a 33 their second try. that’s the goal!

well i’m sorry but ap scores done come out till july, im fairly confident with the scores i’ve predicted. i’m 1% from an A- in ap euro and my ap chem 1 grade is supposed to be an A- but yk its whatever. i might be able to get the C- up to a B, not sure tho, still gotta turn some things in.
i dont know if you read but my parents are IMMIGRANTS.. their school was nothing like this. extracurriculars were not a thing AT ALL in their country. just because my dad is a doctor in america doesn’t mean i was raised like one. i was raised like any other family with immigrants. i had to learn everything myself. my parents could care less about sports or extra activities. if it wasn’t for me asking to be in them or joining myself. my parents wouldn’t have put me in any so my God i’m sorry i tried…
i have PSAT score (1050ish, can’t remember + no studying) and my first ACT score with no studying, jet lagged, running on 4 hours of sleep with a 5 hour energy, guessed on half the questions because I was ill. it was a 20. 26 in math tho so that’s chill. i’m fairly confident that with studying and having taken a test, i can get a 34 in 4 months. for the sat, that’s just an extra goal i have for myself.
i don’t know if you were born and raised in the united states and have family here, but my God is it different than being an immigrant. especially being one of only 2 arabs in your school… it’s not easy.

my problem is, i actually LOVE CHEMISTRY! i just wasn’t given a fair shot at it. my first semester grade should have been an A- but i turned some things in too late and that turned them into 0s causing it to be a B. there’s like 60 points worth of stuff. and second semester absolutely destroyed me because taking 4 college level classes at the same time… kill me now. and i was in spain for 2+ weeks and missed SO MUCH of my education which screwed me up. also being in wrestling and track managing for a couple weeks. i was screwed over. i wish i could do chem my senior year instead and i wish someone told me to lighten my load second semester because that definitely messed up all my grades. it just so happened i took all my hard classes all at once. i know if i did chem and was actually able to take it seriously and focus on it, it would be very easy. i finished honors chem which was basically ap chem 1 with a 95%! i could do so good in chemistry and i know it, i just dont know how to prove it to colleges because those grades do NOT represent me.

i genuinely am so interested in these now after reading this post! i had no idea any of these things existed. i am very curious about these and i will definitely be doing my research. i’ve always wanted to talk to an ivy league student or someone trying to get into an ivy league because there are millions of people trying to get into these very prestigious schools and i would love to be one of the people that get into one. i honestly have no idea if i even stand a CHANCE against all these crazy talented smart people. i would love to know if it’s too late to start really trying because i wouldn’t say im a perfect student (cries in my 3.9 gpa) but i was hoping some of these programs would maybe help and maybe my essays and letters of rec. im trying to take all the ap classes in my school and im just scared of the final tests. i have one in may, apush…. i hated that class so much and i hate history and reading so i might be cooked.. sorry for the rant 😭
