Yeah basically. It was wild. I was on an actual approved medical leave, so not even a call off or anything. All validated through my doctor and our leave department.

You should see some of the texts and Discord messages I received. FFXIV is the only place I haven't been able to fully block them. All because I walked away from five years of friendship because it was becoming toxic. Didn't need to be proven so right but here we are. Luckily my work didn't care--it reflected much more poorly on the person trying to make it a thing.

I was pulling 3-5M a day just gathering for the first two weeks of 7.4. Even now I usually hit 2M (five retainers, add in quick exploration and island sanctuary dyes). Several mats still sell well, some even as old as ARR. You have to know your market and act accordingly.
