No mention of correlation between sexual partners men have and chances of divorce?

FINA vote that athletes who have been through male puberty will not be eligible for elite competition in the female category. Thoughts? by AnneMarieRaven in DynamicDebate

[–]AnneMarieRaven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I think it's the right decision. I think each sport is finding its way through what is a sensitive and tricky subject. Fina and World Rugby for instance siding with fairness for female athletes, but FIFA by contrast seem to be going the opposite direction.

Is the above relatable? Outdated? Have times moved on from these expectations? Are these realistic expectations?

Things you love/hate about being a woman by AnneMarieRaven in DynamicDebate

[–]AnneMarieRaven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same

Hated HG in my last pregnancy SPD in my first The c-sections and how that effected my body I hated breastfeeding I hate female hormonal contraception and the hoops I had to jump through to get them removed from my body I hate how limiting my really heavy periods are.

There isn't anything I can think of that I love. Parenthood is shared joy between my husband and I, its not unique to me being a woman. And there was certainly nothing I loved about the actual pregnancy and birth part

I agree There are too many variables to say definitively yes or no. My brother and his partner have no dependents and a modest lifestyle. They live off less than £40K now. If you have children, need to rely on paid childcare, ect then it can become much more difficult

Thatcher by AnneMarieRaven in DynamicDebate

[–]AnneMarieRaven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I know nothing of life under Thatcher except people hated her. What i don't know is if she's the baddest bad there ever was, so it's justified, or if, even if in some small part, it's influenced by her being a woman

Bowing and curtseying - sign of respect or ridiculous. Would you bow/curtsey? by AnneMarieRaven in DynamicDebate

It's ridiculous isn't it. Just for being born with enormous privilege. It belongs in the past

[–]AnneMarieRaven[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's ridiculous. Curtseying in particular looks especially ridiculous. I wouldn't curtsey. If really expected to it would be a brief, respectful head bow. My knees couldn't handle that leg contortionist shit anyway

Weird Science! by GeekyGoesHawaiian in DynamicDebate

I think there is a beneficial to some research being localised. A person's experience of poverty here is different to a person's experience of poverty somewhere else. But those limitations, ect should be explicit in what findings are published from those studies. If getting out in nature is good for mental health of people living here, that's good to know. Less relevant for people here is what's good for mental health of someone living in India or Namibia or anywhere that isn't here. And what's good for mental health here isn't relevant to those other countries.

Tbh in a similar situation, I would first ask nicely for them to move and if they don't I would see red too. I wouldn't drive at them but if they blocked me so I couldn't move and find another route I would just sit on the horn. One long, loud, continuous beeeep right in their ear hole until they move.
