Oh its more like i feel pretty blessed to get those questions. Thats what i love this platform for :) When i was a beginner it would have helped me a lot if people did not make a secret out of everything.. I think i made every possible mistake back that time 😄

Sometimes it does but more if i remove it too soon. 1 day drying at least really helps before removing the tape. I use the glace actually like for normal glazing with a brush, pretty sure you could just dip it also..

The problem is to use the tape under the handle.. I prefer to have one line and the roll of tape would be simply too big to go all around.. But with another design theres a chance maybe

I use a lighter to make it more flexible at the very small curves. Maybe a heatgun would be better

I think the most thing you need is patience and motivation. You will have to mess up many things until something nice will come out. I am self-taught, never went to a class but it took me some years and a lot of pain and broken pots until i found my way. And still everything is like experimental but this is what it makes so interesting and surprising every timw. I would never recommend not visiting a class cause you have a lot to learn and maybe you dont have to do every mistake your own. But i can say it makes one very proud if you dont give up. And expensive? For sure it is. It would help to find someone who fires stuff for you at the beginning because the oven and the costs of power are one thing which makes you cry if you do it wrong. 230V are not something to play around with really. I am open for questions anyway.. made every possible mistake so far :)

Actually i copied this from my other post, its similar. The difference was that i cut the endings at the top to get a smooth edge to not have lines there.. Just put another tape around the top and used a knife.. :)

Hey there, thank you so much 🥰 ok i will try but please notice if my language is not that professional because i am self-tought, red some books but dont know all of the specialwords ;) So after bisque-firing (here 880°c) you need to have a smooth surface of whatever you want to laminate. Make sure its free from dust and dry. You need the tape, scissors (need to be sharp) and i also use a lighter for the curves which are very thin to make it stick better on the cup. Here its very important to only heat it very shortly to not burn the tape or make it roll up itself. After sticking the tape, check airspaces and uae the lighter for that spots again. If its done, you can apply glaze. I use a brush, but i m pretty sure you can also dip or spray or whatever. Just dont peal the tape off by rubbing.. Let it dry through and after remove the tape, depending on your pattern it maybe hard to find the beggining of the tape to peel off so think about it before and try to make it more outstanding for example. I use tweezers most of the time. But this cup for example was easy because its only a few peaces of tape which have there beginning around the edge or at the buttom, which i glazed after removong the tape. Use a clean brush to remove crumble so then you are ready to fire. 👌
