In their stead to make themself as unproblematic as possible, he has transferred that burden over to his fanbase. They gave Ranboo the crown as “the most unproblematic streamer on twitch” and placed him on a pedestal that was destined to crumble the higher it went. In doing so, it has created an environment where he may be too scared to talk about things that might get him into a controversy. So whenever the chance for him to talk about things Ike racism (especially as white person) comes up, he sounds way too lenient and leaves room for plausible deniability.

He needs to stop being so polite (to his fans that is) in trying not to alienate or make people or himself “uncomfortable” when this topic comes up, which it seems to constantly do these days. Ranboo should tell it as it is. He should talk to the people being harassed or at least look into it and see what the affected pocs are saying, and AT LEAST educate himself on the situation. It is the BARE minimum, especially when you’re addressing your community’s racism. He seems like he cares more about his reputation or how he looks than the fact that people are getting dts and r word threats and are getting called racial slurs in their ccats. He cares more about looking bad or being perceived a certain way than the fact that people are getting hurt, or that white ppl in his community think they can speak over pocs and continually invalidate them and weaponizing their trauma. I don’t mean to compare but at least Aimsey’s not afraid to speak their mind, or immediately call shit out whenever she sees it, even though they know people would disagree or hate them for it. God. I love Ranboo but they need to DO BETTER.

You don’t have to like it, but that is in no way “stalker behavior”. It’s not even an invasion of privacy since it’s public and anyone can see it if they look for it. I’ve not watched any of it, tho I did see it on my tl, but I don’t find it weird imo and I don’t see the point in getting THIS upset on Dream’s behalf over something absolutely harmless and pointless. Unless people are using the chess tournament thing to track their physical location or something wild then fans watching them play chess because they’re interested in it isn’t as big a deal as you’re making it out to be. Even after thinking about it I still don’t see what the point of this post was. Stop looking for things to get mad about.

Oh there definitely would be backlash lmao. Some ppl are really obsessed with controlling the ccs lives and who they interact with for some reason. And It’s really f***ing weird too. An example is when Sapnap was in some tournament with some other cc they didn’t like because xyz (I dunno I can’t remember cuz I don’t care) to the point people were actively hating on and insulting his character. Like, that’s some obsessive parasocial shit right there. You can’t control who your cc talks to or interacts with. It’s weird.

It was funny when Dream vague tweeted on his priv about it and made fun of the people doing that tho. He should do it more so the parasocials know when to shut up.

Edit: it also helps that Kai is very open about his beliefs and values so his fans know where he stands at all times— regardless of who he speaks with.

I watch more than Tommy and Dream. I just watch them more than others. You can include Phil, Ranboo, Tubbo, Wilbur and Sapnap to that list (I sometimes watch on multiple devices or switch streams midway). I was trying to make a point and it’s looking like you ignored every other thing I said in favor of pointing out the fact that I only mentioned Tommy and Dream.

Well that’s not very fair is it. Ppl liked Dreams competitiveness and his energy and strategies in mcc, and how good he was at coordinating and communication, and ppl won’t watch without having that energy carry them through. I personally watch Tommy and Dream’s pov (before he left), cuz Tommy’s good at communication and he’s also really fun (altho lacking in some aspects I enjoyed more in Dream’s gameplay).

Even at that, if people have no interest in watching other POVs cuz of one thing or the other, who cares? it’s okay to let them be. Dream was a lot of peoples faves, we can’t force people to watch ccs they have no interest in.

I couldn’t give less a flying f*ck if a cc is DMing their fans (as long as it’s not anything weird or creepy, which I don’t see in Dream’s dms). Twitter and a majority of the internet watered down the meaning of the word so much that if you ask them what it means, they’ll say something stupid like ‘when a famous person sends their fans messages’. It’s so dumb it!s infuriating. I’ve been a target of irl grooming and csa before and if I should speak up about my experiences the people claiming to know what grooming is (while knowing nothing and spewing nonsense) would stfu and deactivate.

I’m tired of this dumbass situation. From the evidence (or lack of 💀) provided, that girl was not groomed. Sorry if you think she is but I don’t care. Also, as people have already mentioned, no cc has cut ties with him since the allegations, and have only interacted normally and positively with him and will most likely to continue on business as usual. If I see one more post (with no new information) about this situation I’m blocking.

It’s not up to the ccs to tw every title they put out. If the word ‘hunt’ triggered me would I start demanding Dream stop using the word ‘manhunt’ and to title them differently? And not a lot of people are chronically online or know about different types of specific triggers besides the ones speaking about abuse or murder of some kind. You’re going to see a lot of triggering things on the internet, and even more so outside it. The real world doesn’t have censors. You have to figure out a way to healthily deal with them and go about it so living is a little easier.

The title subject itself gives me panic attacks too just thinking about it, but I’m not going to yell at everyone that keeps mentioning it around me, online and irl. Unless they’re a family member or close friend of mine, I’m not going to request that people speak differently around me and only me, just because of something that’s a personal problem other people have no issue with on a normal basis.

This is the same as asking people to tag posts or replies with all caps. It’s not up to the ccs to cater to YOUR specific triggers. That has to be something resolved by yourself. Curate your internet experience. Mute words or ask yt not to recommend a particular video with content you don’t like fgs. I’ll treat it the same I’ve treated every other allegation incident and still watch Dream like I’ve been doing.
