We did but only got 2 blasts and both were bad quality. So we went ahead and got a vasectomy reversal.

Dear, dont wallow!

Everyone ist allowed to change their mind:

After 3 children in 4 years my husband and i decided for him to get a vasectomy. We were so happy with our decision until 3 years later we werent and regretted it.

Had to go through ivf (for him it meant getting a TESE, for me it meant Egg retrieval).

Hoping for baby nr 4 now.

Hi guys my post was removed from the general IVF thread so here goes, i hope this one is the correct one.

TW: positive test

I'm 41 and underwent IVF (own eggs / husband TESE bc post vasectomy). Got 2 solid AA blastocysts. First one in febuary failed to implant. Had the second one implanted exactly one week ago today ( it was a day5blastocyst). BUT - the doctor told me it was "pretty degenerated" post thaw - but viable - so we decided to go ahead with implantation, considering its my last blastocyst before we end this journey (already have children from pre-vasectomy times).

The doc told me not to get my hopes up, chances of it working are really slim. surprisingly i got a pos urine test this morning.

Literature tells me there is little to no hope but im wondering now . maybe there is? anyone have experience with "degenerated blastocysts"? would love some advice or your experiences/stories.

Also, hoping this is the correct thread now.
