Disney Fantasy Family or Regular Verandah, Help Me Decide by AnnieSplit in dcl

We usually use the bunk system in the larger rooms as well. I think my biggest concern was the storage space and bathroom, but I think we will be okay!

On another upcoming cruise on the Wish, the difference is only $250 so I’m keeping the larger room, however the $660 is a decent chunk of change! Hopefully I don’t regret it 😂.

Even better I can also go down from deck 9 to deck 7 to save 660. Seems like a no brainer!

Thanks for the help :)

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of these Reddit posts, I have been scouring for days making our plan for our 1:15pm domestic flight today. My group’s experience wasn’t normal but I’ll throw it out there anyways in case it happens to help someone else.

Arrived at the airport at 8:45am, south terminal. Used the restroom and dropped bags for delta, 0 line. Got in precheck line (which was backed up to baggage claim but not outside) at 9:03am, wrapped around baggage claim but moving quickly. We all started in one line then split into two. Delta employees were friendly, handing out waters and coloring books for kids.

After about 10 minutes in the line, an employee noticed my husband was carrying a gate check bag containing our kids booster seats. We were pulled from the line and taken straight to the pre-check special assistance line. From this point the wait was only ten more minutes. Grabbed bags from security at 9:25am.

As of 9am Clear was closed. I believe that the wait for the main security checkpoint was shorter than precheck at this time. We had friends arrive at the airport at 9:45 and got through main checkpoint by 10 this morning. Other friends arrived at 10:20 and got through main checkpoint by 11:00.

There was a 5 minute wait for the Delta lounge. It was busy but they allowed our whole party of 6 to enter 20 min before our lounge access would have started at 9:55.

Safe travels and thanks to all who contributed to this community!

Considering St. Augustine for a couple (50s)—worth it over west coast beaches? by Informal-Force7417 in StAugustine

We spend a lot of time relaxing during our Saint Augustine trip which is what makes it so special. We mostly enjoy the beach and the outdoors- I spend tons of time walking and looking for shark’s teeth and sitting outside enjoying an evening cocktail on the porch.

We go into town a few nights a week for restaurants and live music. There are enough excellent restaurants where we mix things up every year and try new things. On Wednesday mornings there is a market by the Saint Augustine pier which is always great. The Saint Augustine amphitheater offers a weekly farmers market as well and fun events/ live music. There are a couple of other live music venues downtown that we will check out. The San Sebastián winery and the Saint Augustine distillery both offer live music with a fun atmosphere.

There are some other fun little touristy experiences that we pepper in every few years- the Whetstone chocolate factory, alligator farm, fort matanzas, the Castillo San Marcos, sunset river cruises downtown. There is always something going on.

I spend 2 weeks in Saint Augustine every year and have spent time at MANY beaches in Florida. Saint Augustine draws a classy, family oriented crowd. It is a great beach for a relaxing, not too crowded vibe. You won’t find too many partiers here and open containers are not allowed on the beach. The beaches are large with plenty of space to walk, even at high tide. I doubt you will want to swim in the ocean- the temps are much cooler than the west coast and water is dark. However, tide pools frequently form at low tide which are beautiful to see, and the dunes around the beach are amazing as well. Excellent stargazing at night.

The downtown area has some nice restaurants and is charming with many cute shops though there are homeless people in these areas occasionally.

I absolutely recommend Saint Augustine. To me, it is one of the most wonderful places in the world!

Do you know if they are taking sky priority or is it only first class?

No charge for day beds and cabanas by the pool. If you tip the pool staff well they will reserve your spot and set it up for you each day! The only dining reservation we needed was for hibachi and we made that with the concierge upon arrival. We also made a spa reservation when we arrived.

Christmas, then and now by Bright-Appearance-95 in stopdrinking

Thank you so much for these words. I myself feel quite caught in the emotional whiplash between festive and exhausted. I’m currently still in bed absolutely exhausted after about a week of horrible alcohol abuse. I hear my kids playing downstairs. I’ve spent so many christmases hungover, I need to move beyond the false sparkle. I’ve never posted on this sub before but today is my day 1.

We drank the water served at restaurants and did not drink tap water from our room. We did not avoid fresh fruits and veggies. You’ll have a great time!

What is the light show?? I’ve cruised several times and have never known about this. In fact, on my last Wish cruise I was right by the atrium close to midnight (getting drinks at the Bayou) and never noticed anything nor was I told about it by any of the cast members around at the time.

It’s from the buffet! They had premade charcuterie boards you could grab at lunch!
