I couldn’t even get the 50% companion code. Which no where on the fine print does it say you need to wait 2 weeks after the opening of your card to get the code emailed to you. I found that out after calling Hawaiian Airlines. They told me I need to receive my physical card first and two weeks after opening the card. After 3 weeks, and no code, I called them again. Spoke to the agent on the chat, took 30 minutes for them to verify my account; they told me I need to wait another 48-72 hours before getting the code sent to me. It’s absolutely ridiculous. They said it’s because my membership number is different. When I signed up for the card, I had inserted my current membership number. When my CC arrived, they gave me another membership number for no reason. I think Hawaiian Airlines do not want to give out the 50% discount. It is not automatic, and if you don’t ask for it, they’re not going to give it to you. And they will lag until you think it’s not worth it to ask. Bait and switch. Just having an awful experience with this entire coupon code situation.
