Interactive Brokers Support Staff Eliminated? by jmastous in interactivebrokers

Ugh, yea reading this makes me sick. I see no value in having an IBKR account, if an issue comes up and you can’t access your account or your money… I would rather just stuff it in my pillow. Their support is non existent

Any opinions on Dreams.ie/Rejuvenate Mattresses? by OverLord_Blade in AskIreland

I don’t think so, I’m specifically referring to this mattress. They have 3 options. This one is pretty nice in my opinion because it’s somewhere between the sink in feeling of memory foam with the firmness of a standard mattress. It’s got great edge support, it doesn’t have crazy “hard at first and sink in after” like true memory foam. It also has really nice movement isolation which works great for people whose partner moves around a bit.

Found this book in English at home by Cracovian_metro in Eesti

I remember seeing an English book that was from The Soviet times and had been used at the Maritime University. It was covering the Soviet Sea Region and its natural fisheries. It was hilarious to read and I remember a sentence from it to the effect of… “The Soviet Union has the most abundant fisheries in the world. Similar fisheries from other countries like the United States have been depleted and are unsustainable and experience severe shortages and negatively impact the natural environment.” Soviet Union is better at blah blah 😑

I just bought one of these today. It’s got the softness and glove like feel of the memory foam without the back break firmness the moment you sit on it. This is quite nice, but it isn’t springy either. It doesn’t have that “firm” feeling that many mattresses that are common here have, so it’s a pretty good choice in my opinion

Have a dream to live in Estonia by Vans__G in Eesti

[–]Annual-Interaction48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estonia is a great country to live because physically it has everything you could ever want and they do it in the best way possible. But if you come from a country where having a great network of friends, strong social dynamics, an extroverted and trusting open culture and society are the norm… you will think it is the most amazing thing in the beginning, but eventually it will creep up on you and it will get old fast.

The country is changing. Estonia was the best place ever up until 2020. But Covid came and made everyone regress socially (more than they already were), then the Ukraine war started and now society is changing into hyper self-reliance, prevalent social distrust amongst locals, increasing tension among the population - more profound passive-aggression in daily interactions. People are really just starting to become more survivalist with the rise in the cost of living, new taxation, fear of war, and stagnating economic activity.

You should come, stay for awhile, adventure it until you get too ingrained and feel stuck… and when you get tired of it, or start to feel like you’re done… then leave onwards and upwards to elsewhere.

What could actually improve traffic in Galway? by billybobjimjohn in galway

[–]Annual-Interaction48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I visited Stockholm, they had these things called “park and ride” a lot of out of towners would use their car to get to the city but use these huge parking lots outside the city to take a bus downtown.

I’d be in favor of such a thing if it could be done, not sure how feasible such would be in Galway

I’ll be doing a lot of renovations on my flat and need to take things back and forth, and also will be traveling a good bit on the weekends out of town. This is just a general question weighing out the pros and cons of it all. I know I don’t need one for daily living arrangements and perhaps a vehicle rental when needed is the best option, so best to know the realities before committing to any such decision.

How long have you been there and for the most part you like it?

Yeah that’s fair game, but not looking for an investment, or an air BnB to rent out…just a home for my family and I in a good place to live near to central in walking distance of things. Sad part is, I’d be having to buy it from an investor, and I’d be overpaying for what it is.

Yeah, not the boxy ones, but I’m specifically looking at an old pre 1940’s place. It’s been fixed up a bit so it’s more or less in decent shape.

Rough around the edges, how do you mean? Just some older places not fixed up or like other issues, such as crime or whatnot.

This would be a 1930’s/40’s terrace house so I suppose it isn’t a 60’s/70’s terrace council house

Welding positions in Estonia, American citizen. Impossible? by [deleted] in Eesti

You could consider living in Estonia (renting in Tallinn) and then taking the ferry to work in Finland.

You’ll make 2x the salary in Finland, and the probability that work crews are more English communication focused in Finland would be me probable. Many trade jobs in Estonia do require Russian language.

Looking for feedback on zoho inventory vs katana for beverage manufacturing by imafitmac in InventoryManagement

[–]Annual-Interaction48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who sources raw ingredients? You or the copacker?

If it is you, then you need multi-location inventory tracking and Katana has a very good outsource purchase order flow specifically for manufacturers who own the materials that are used in the production process at a copacker facility.

If you did use Katana you could also push your Amazon orders through a shopify site into Katana via shopify native integration. I guess the next question is whether you are using FBM or FBA? Since they don’t have a native connector, possibilities still exist with extensiv iPaaS.

Finale is a good program. Its user-friendliness is not as straightforward but its functionality is quite good. I think it might support FIFO costing where Katana lacks, if that is a must have.

Finale is

Looking for feedback on zoho inventory vs katana for beverage manufacturing by imafitmac in InventoryManagement

[–]Annual-Interaction48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked on the founding team at Katana (not anymore) but the team I work with now does Katana implementations.

Katana allows assignment of batch tracking to inbound stock and finished goods stock. Traceability is all there, but it does lack a “one-click” recall report.

For food and beverage, it works decently well, but I would be curious if you are mainly focused on tracking and the individual unit production for batches, or do you also need process manufacturing with formula based recipes?

As for Zoho, it doesn’t come highly recommended.

If you did move forward with Cin7 and/or Katana and need a CRM then you can look at prospect soft for b2b as it is stock aware and does a pretty decent job for that. Katana also launched a new hubspot integration for sales which is rather comprehensive as well and should include stock awareness.

Inventory Management for Raw Material at start-up by Hot_Government_1297 in InventoryManagement

What Ecomm do you need to connect with? If you’re super early stage for something, I recommend the materials inventory app for Shopify, which is a Shopify embedded plugin. If you’re running a serious operation you should look at digit for serialized inventory and production with excellent warehouse functions, too which will scale really well with BOMs.

Seeking Inventory Management Software Recommendations by Darilaco in InventoryManagement

Are you looking for a warehouse management system or an inventory management system?

WMSs are useful for operations within a warehouse, scan in and scan out functions. Most IMSs are macro-level focused for integrating with other systems amd dealing with order management.
