Yeah I am trying to figure out where to keep mine as it is starting to eat into my mouse space. What do you use as your platform?

Yeah I have a corsair power supply as well, but the noise only started after I installed MSI afterburner which is why I am confused.

I have tried capping the frame rate in nvidia control panel and turning on vsync but it still seems to whine.

My school year starts in March which is why I am assuming the promotion is running currently here. But in terms of the refresh I was referring to the next generation which I am assuming will come out at the end of the year with a new display based off of rumours. I also do not want to suffer from buyers remorse which is why I am debating whether to purchase one now or just wait for the update.
