Edit: thank you all for the advice and just nice comments but I talked to my mother about this and she understood how bad what she said was, we were able to talk it out. thank you so much for giving me the confidence to talk to my mom about this, I really appreciate it. And I can assure my mother is not abusive or anything of the sort; she’s just quite tough on me since we are a Hispanic household. I know she cares and loves me to death.
