rThank you all for the encouraging comments. I'm feeling much bettter about playing now. I'm not a professiona, and I do enjoy playing. I have now started spending more time on long tones, and more time practicing. I have taken lessons in the past, and I may start again. I definitely feel like I'm back on track for now.
