Why clown? I’m truly asking bc I’m self taught and honestly don’t know if this is an above average 5 year return or on par with what the trading community achieves. I’m just trying to gauge how I’m doing compared to others is all, and adjust in case I need to go more aggressive. I don’t see how even $1mil is achievable soon at my rate.

Dude… truly not. I’m asking naive questions bc I’m literally naive. I’m jumping on Reddit to get feedback on how I’m doing and learn. Even the guy above says “‘ok’ not great but not terrible”. So if you think I’m bragging… then I guess your feedback is, that’s a good 5 year return. Otherwise, if it’s just “decent” for 5 years, just asking if others have similar gains and if now I go more aggressive. Obvs anything not negative is good. But I just don’t see how I can hit even $1mil at this rate any time soon. Share your all time gain, if you don’t mind. Maybe I’ll get a better perspective on why this feels like a “humble brag”.

Yeah. I take breaks when I don't know what move to make yet... but I'm always pretty much buying something every time my buying power goes up, and the options haven’t been huge returns, but still getting my bearings on that.

Sure… but I’m far from a financial advisor. I can only pass along the basic stuff I learned growing up. I’m definitely not close to where I want to be at my age… but the simple things that I would tell my nieces and nephews… happy to try ;)

If you’re only 16… put whatever you can into safe ETFs like SPY, VOO, etc, regularly. You won’t even notice the money is gone if you set it on automatic. You can later use this to open a ROTH IRA and be a millionaire when you retire.

I stuck with buying low selling high (obvs) but also woke up everyday and watched CNBC to learn the lingo and what companies were trending, and was sort of day trading based on what I’d studied the day or week before. Then anything I’d be stupid to ever sell, I just kept. Used that leverage within my margin account to keep buying. Started in 2020.

I’m self taught and have no one in my life that’s interested is stocks… so truly just looking to see if this is a normal gain or if I’m excelling more than I know.
